BEER (ANOTHER THOUGHT)

Postby patrol21 » Tue May 05, 2009 1:49 pm

As the get together on Friday nite is at the campground and from the amount of folks staying in town, I am sure we don't want our camping bro's to pony up for the beer. I saw mini-keg thread and sounds like a good idea but if a large # of us are coming into the campround friday nite, coolers/ice may be at a premium....we can all slap a sixer or mini to the back of our bikes but ice/cooler will be a bit more difficult. Suggestions?

Beer

Postby TonUp » Tue May 05, 2009 2:07 pm

I am sharing a TAXI from town picking up cold beer and heading to the campground Friday night. .I am sure I can put my beer in Jimmys cooler. I can not ride when I drink. See you there!

With most folks arriving by bike I hope there will be enough coolers on hand to keep the beverages chilled. I suppose we could always just use some big trash bags filled with ice....

Well, the brochure for the campground says they have ice. Another plus is that True's general store is right across the street though I don't know if they sell beer or not. I picked up a soft cooler that folds real flat from my local package store for free. Seems Coors gave lots of them out to liquor stores and they still have a bunch left.

Ok, I just tried to call True's but no answer. Maybe they don't open till Memorial Day? The good news is they are listed as a "convenience store" so I'm thinking they have beer. When I do get thru I'll make sure to find out if they have ice, and beer. Lots!

Coolers

Postby TonUp » Tue May 05, 2009 6:26 pm

I am sure there will be other coolers there, we can pick up a big plastic trash can and fill it up with ice and lots and lot of beer!
