I did, I slowed everyone down though. Did you go to the abbey itself? I had the red/black T100 with sidebags if that helps remind you who I am.

schuitz wrote:My own big thanks to Mark, Tito and Robin for all their efforts, Kurt (and Beth) for the lift to the campground on Saturday night (I was beat!) and Jeff and EDISON for checking up on me when I pulled off to attend to my vision. I was ok, but it sure made me feel a lot better. And of course to Bill for the great company.

As a new rider on my first major trip, the experience was overwhelmingly positive. To a person, everyone I chatted with this weekend was awesome and supportive, and the intimidated feeling I rode in with quickly went away. I learned volumes about riding with skill and style, just by watching and listening to you folks. Thank you all.

Mike

It was great to meet and ride with you Mike...You sure represented Ottawa well with your intrepid style...camping and riding...well done

Nah you didn't slow us down! We weren't in much of a rush anyway.... When we stopped half way up the mountain, the monestary was on the western slope, you could see it from there. Hopefully someone got a picture of it!

Benny - I'd like to see a picture of all the bikes lined up in single file at that half way point. I saw people snapping pictures of it - can someone please post that pic?

I'll be working on a movie of video highlights from the sporty ride, when I get the time and will post a link when it's done.

Ogre!

It was a pleasure meeting you and riding with you. Sorry I did not give you a good wheelie for the camera on the way home. Next year for sure! :-)

No worries, I had three separate pairs of glasses on this tour, not a formula for easy recognition! My heart warmed when you guys pulled up and I knew I had someone to corroborate my story about the snow and hail. It's too bad I didn't spot your bikes parked on the way through Lake Placid, I think you made it there before I did, and I would've popped in to say hey.

I should have taken a picture. The snow actually stuck on my parked bike seat for a little while.

Earlier that day we (Jim/tribal orange Rocket, Ivan/orange Tiger and I) stopped for lunch in Bolton Landing, along Lake George.

We sat in an outdoor patio with an umbrella table. A gust so strong took away our umbrella and also knocked a tree down across the street (behind the municipal building)!!

Thanks again, so very much, to Mark, Tito, Robin(and mista Lovel!) for doing all of that great work and getting everyone together again. What a nice weekend and it seemed as though everyone thought so. Thanks again, and we'll see you soon. It is, after all, a small world...
