Sorry Hank, I don't see it that way. People go to events because they're interested in them, not because they're doing someone else a favor. Reciprocity has nothing to do with it. I'm not interested in an "I'll come to your event if you come to mine" contest.

Thus my event organizer comment. "Just amongst organizers". It was never ment for the rest of the crowd.

as far as hotel prices, you must not remember the rat raids in VT. they were way more than what the Jordan is charging for the meme event. And not just that raid, all of he New England Raids, the Nova Scotia Raid. You want to talk about cost?...so as far as pricing is concern it is easily in the same ball park as a Triumph Raid and the BTB when it comes to those who really dont want to sleep on the ground...but if you do, there are plenty of places near by that you can stay at, hotels, motels, cabins, even camp grounds to appeal to those that like to sleeping on the ground. You are right about the interest comment. Personally, I never want to go to a bike event and sleep on the ground....thats just me. MeMe grew out of 10 people showing up for a one table display and a one day event to a 4 day event with close to 400 people showing up through out the weekend...some just doing a day trip over, and thats cool too. Sleeping on the ground or otherwise it is safe to say there is a little interest there from the several hundred attendees that show up and the feed back from their return is that they love the event, they will come back, and for the majority they like how its managed, and they want to stay at the Jordan. There are ooptions for campers and a few do it, not many but a few. If we can get Brett to stay at a hotel then anyone can afford it...

Good for them. I didn't stay at the hotel for the New England RAT Raid either. The expense was always one of my biggest complaints about the RAT Raids.

And camping is exactly what I would do because I'd rather spend my money on riding than sleeping.

Anyway, that's enough of that. The long and short of it is that I'd love to make it to MEME but the timing sucks for me. Once again I won't be able to make it this year because I'm too damn busy. Between work and all the other stuff I have demanding my attention, I simply don't have time.
