Another Event same day as the Bash

Postby Larryjg » Sat May 29, 2010 1:53 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just so you know, Emerson Motor Works is having their annual swap meet on the Saturday of the Bash. If you are doing the gap ride, they are on Route 100, just south of Rochester. You will see a bunch of bikes, and a big TeePee on the West side of the road. This is about 2 miles south of the intersection of Route 100, and Route 73. Route 73 is one of our best gaps, and the one with the best road surface conditions right now.
The barn at Emerson Motor Works is an amazing collection of old bikes, mostly BMW.
The swap meet brings all types though, and is worthy of a visit. Look for me there, as I help Dave out, and will probably have a staff shirt on, and my Triumph will be there, unfortunatelly with a "For Sale" sign on it.

Route 100 is a great ride up from Route 9, the road that goes from Bennington to Brattleboro.

Sept 17-19: Northeast Streetrod Nationals, Essex, VT

Also Sept 17-19: British Invasion, Stowe, VT

Good excuse to ride up to northern Vermont: check out hundreds of streetrods in Essex on Saturday morning, then ride out to Stowe around lunchtime and check out a hundred or two British cars (and a few bikes thrown in for good measure -- past years they've even had a '53 Vincent Black Shadow -- plus plenty of British food, beer, and groceries).

I'd be happy to play tour guide if the Rockers want to come up.
