It's ready. The right side fairing piece is on backorder but it only has a small chip. Jim put the new headlight bucket on yesterday and the luggage came in. New tires on so it's ready!

If you crazy Tiger guys are sticking to pavement, I'm in for a long ride, too. Would be nice to be back for BBQ, but we'll be meeting plenty in the mornings, evenings and Saturday dinner. My gal is riding pillion, but we can hang with anyone...except on dirt!

We pretty much are pavement guys and stay within sniffing distance of ice cream. I do some seasonal and fire rds down in Alleghany CTy in NY but VT & MA have so MANY nice paved & twisty roads who needs to stray?

I'm planning on getting into Bennington some time around 8-9am Friday (hopefully, The Kirkland will let me check in or drop my stuff off). I am going to need to peel off whichever Friday ride I take to sprint back to Albany, NY area to pick up my gal (work calls) and then blast back through VT to get to Brattleboro for the BBQ and meet everyone.

We're all in for a full day Saturday. I'm just trying to finalize my plans/routes for Friday, now with the extra jaunt back to/from Albany.

Also, for those taking any of the Rutland rides. Might want to try to make your way up to Essex, VT...just outside Burlington. That's where Classic Bike Experience is located (British bike dudes, featured on Cafe Racer). It's about 130miles north of Bennington. Makes for a nice, big, long loop back down Rt100 as you head towards Brattleboro for BBQ.

Is anyone doing, perhaps an Adirondack or Eastern NY track on Friday that would facilitate me peeling off for my lady???

See y'all Friday!

If anyone is interested, there's a nice spot over the river in NH called Madame Sheri's Forest and the "Haunted Staircase". http://www.chesterfieldoutdoors.com/plands/sherri.html
I few of us rode there last weekend from Manchester NH area and did a hike. There's one hike up to a ridge that looks down on the Connecticut River, Vermont, and the Top of the Hill Grill. Great short hike to break up the day. The last mile of road is a hardpack gravel road safe for all bikes. I spoke with the Town of Chesterfield and they said the recent storms this week did not cause any washouts so the roads are fine. We're debating on whether to travel all the way to Bennington first and then backtrack or just takeour time leaving a little later and arrive at the BBQ first.
