Hedge Reporting in Back Home - Safe!

Postby Hedge » Sun Jun 01, 2008 2:18 pm

So I lost my wing man UncleCharlie, He and Bucky wanted to travel deeper into VT to experience Curtis's BBQ. So Gilligan and I left Bennington at 10:20am via RT9 West to Rt7 which led us to Rt 22 South. He branched off around 12:30pm and I got home to Stamford into my garage at exactly 1:34pm. Total distance from UncleCharlie's house Friday morning up to Bennington, riding around and back home to Stamford was 430.4 miles. This event was way more than I ever anticipated. It was so wonderful to meet all you fellow Triumph Enthusiast and to actually shake hands, "Hug it Out" and put faces to names! I look forward to many more years of this kind of Grass-root event.

I'm heading for the shower to take care of some Monkey Butt and then I'll try and get to downloading some pictures.

Thx to everyone for making this an incredible experience!

Vicki, Todd and I did Rte.2 East to 91 and booked on down to CT. Had a great time in Bennington. Vicki and I are very appreciative of all the work people did to make this happen. Thanks.

Glad to hear you made it home safe! But you left without paying your $5.00 exit fee. :)

Home safe and sound. Rolled into my parents house in Holden Ma. where I keep my bike a little after 1:00. Talked with them for a little bit and jumped int to the car to head home. Weird being on 4 wheels after 4 days on only 2. Great time met a lot of wonderful people and had some great rides, laughs and now stories. With my long ride through the Adirondaks on Friday got in a little over 870 miles from 11:30 A.M. Thursday to 1:00 P.M. Sunday. This was a great event and much thanks goes out to all the people who made it possible.

I made it home safely today, Had very windy run up 91. I was able to use the wind to male a right hand curve while leaning left.

I really enjoyed the whole weekend with everyone. I put a little over 870 on my bike from friday to sunday. Not an iron butt ordeal, I now feel like I have an iron butt.

Rolled my bike into Mom's garage at 6pm.

What a weekend! 500 miles, would've been more, but I did ride in the rain.
Turned a 150 mle ride home into 250 miles. Lots of traffic, but flying.

Big thanks to Robin, and everyone else who made this happen! I won't try
to name all, for fear of leaving somebody out. Well done!
