Hey Benny,
Remember the rain? When I saw your picture in Hedge's post, I remembered you from Stowe. You had an awesome black Bonnie if I recall. Some nice adaptions too.

Yup that's me! You can see my bike in that last pic, it's the black America right behind that red one. You can see the chrome tail rack... That's my "Vermont: Spooning NH since 1768" shirt :D

we dodged some rain that weekend but we did get to do some riding. But what a great social event. We did drink a lot and dance a lot at the Rusty Nail. I think that was my favorite RAT RAID that I had ever been to. I should have taken more pictures. Benny was swilling the micro brews. I think I just stuck with the hard stuff. But we did have an awesome time.

I live in Stowe. How on earth did I miss that one!?!

If you come back this way, Ye Olde England Inn now has a new cellar boy who stocks well over 100 British beers, ales, stouts, porters, you name it!

Well, Pete, for what it's worth, it was in 2005.

Thanks, Mark. That explains it. I generally avoid big tourist weekends cuz the traffic is awful, but for something like that I would have shown up!

I love this time of year, stick season, when the skiers are gone but the summer tourists haven't yet arrived. It's one of two times a year when we have the state to ourselves...

Yeah we have that here before and after the beach going idiots have come and gone. I did see several VT tags running around at the beach this weekend one of them had enough liberal bumperstickers on it I dont know how the asshole could see out the window of his honda civic.

Hank, that was the ride when you clipped mirrors with that Yamaha right? Crazy. Did I ever tell you that I was telling my mom about the weekend and she said "Oh I "did the nail" in college." Cracked me right up.

Jimmy, folks who live here with all those stickers on their cars are called imports. They ain't from around heah!

I was in Middlebury a couple of years ago and there was a small group of college kids waving their "War is not the answer" and "Impeach Bush" signs. At the time I was wearing my "Some people just deserve to die" tee-shirt with the Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor logo, so I sat on a bench right in the middle of them hoping just one of them would have the balls to talk to me. Had they done so they would have found we had a lot in common. Those of us who have fought tend to look at war as the last recourse. But they just glanced nervously at me and faced the other way, secure in their stereotypes.

Heck, I haven't killed anybody in nearly 33 years!

You should have been here in Delaware when the united Christian church come to protest at a fallen Marines funeral . Once a Marine always a Marine and several hundred Marines showed up to block the church so that one heros mother didn't have to deal with assholes. Along with the Marines from all ages the Pagens and Fire Fighters and RedNecks with big fuckin mud hoppin trucks they didn't stand a chance we blocked off the whole fuckin end of town. Course you know it wasn't the welcome they thought they would get when they said it was gods way of telling us we shouldn't fight and kill inocent people. My moto is when people start falling around you and you dont hear a sound pray as you fuckin run.

Benny,
ya, when I took you guys through the app gap on Friday, that guy on the R 1 was right over in my lane coming around a blind corner. I never saw, him until he was on top of me. Can you imagin that? And my bike never went down or got any damage out it. I never got hurt, but I came really fucking close that day.

We made up for it that night at the Rusty Nail. You were swillin like a villian. I was drinking rum , and everything else under the sun. I remember dancing with all the cheekas that night. That was awesome. Where did we go for breakfast that Sunday? That was wicked good.

Are those the same pieces of shit as the Westboro Baptist Church? I was about to call them fuckers, but that's way too good for them... those bags of inhuman filth came to Vermont to protest at the funeral of a soldier who got killed in Iraq, as they've been doing at a lot of soldiers' funerals.

I can't even express how disgusting I find those people. Words do not adequately convey what utter pools of rotting, festering diarrhea they are.
