2009 MEME 10 year party!!!!!!!

Postby b_mason » Thu Aug 14, 2008 6:15 pm

I know Hank and I have been the loudest and for the most part only propents to the Jully MEME festivities. PLease bear with us on this one. If you are planning you 2009 riding schedule you will want to include this event. It is our 10th year of gathering. If Friday nights attendance this year was any clue to how the event is drawing in folks. The 2009 MEME will be a rocket ride. We are trying (with the help of dealers) to get the Demo trucks up there. Bands for friday and Saturday. Beer flowing all weekend. Here is the post from our MEME site www.eurobikemaine.org

You heard it here first folks!
July 23-24-25-26, 2009! (and YES, that's three full days!) I want to start things Thursday evening and have stuff going on from Friday on. (ride wise) It IS the 10th annual after all...One thought is a RAT ride on Friday with lunch at the Jolly Drayman English pub down in Bethel.
Stay tuned for more!

Steve, I believe it is between 250-300. I had to get gas once between there and Bennington. My bike goes about 200 on a tank. I'll check google maps when I get home.

if anyone is on facebook.com look me up. Look under Brett Mason then find the picture of my sprint by my name.

Jim,
I would love to have you guys come up. It would make my summer complete to have as many a triumph folk as we possibly can come and represent the brand at an event that draws many a bmw, and many a ducati... and many a Triumph too...And it really matters not what anyone rides, we have a crap-load of fun and now that they have extended it a day to 4 days.....we can actually head out on several different rides. Yup start saving your pennies and ask the boss for the time off NOW! That way when July 23, 24,25, 26 approach you will be ready.

David, your going to need to bring some stomach relief or the likes to go with the monkey butt powder.

The guiness does run heavy at that time ofthe year.

Word is the sponsors of the 10th Western Maine European Motorcycle Meet are pushing very hard to get the manufacturers corp demo trucks to come to the event this year. The grumblings, and these are just grumblings right now, is that KTM wants to bring up their demo truck but they need to have a minimum of 100 test rides ...(oh shit, can you twist my arm)

and that ducati is pressing very very hard to bring up their demo truck. So far, it was looking good according to their district sales manager.

wow how cool would that be?
