Thanx for the welcome!

Jimmy: I never thought I was older than dirt, but I'll work on it.

Drlapo: As far as complaining about the kids, well, I'm encouraging my son to bring his Ducati 1000 Sport and give some riding lessons. :)

Looking forward to a great weekend!

The D675 is such a light bike. It looks great.

Tito - funny you should mention the Daytona 675 because that was the bike I fully intended on buying. I'll give you guys the short story of my motorized involvement -

I am 49, I will be 50 this coming April and I have had a lot of serious muscle cars growing up starting with -
• 65 GT 289 Mustang drop top with a 4 speed
• 67 289 Fastback with a 4 speed
• 67 442 with a 4 speed
• 68 Hurst Olds
• 69 442 W-30
• 70 GTO drop top all original - sold it with 158k on it for like 2k. Dam I wish I had that car still.
• 76 Trans AM 50th Anniversary Special with a 421 SD fully done up snuck under the hood mated to a tricked out Fairbanks tranny.
Then I took some time off and got into motorcycles. I had 2 Honda CB750/Fours - I don't even remember but I think they were around 1978 or something. I then bought a 1985 Kawasaki GPz 750 Turbo which I bought brand new off the floor for $3250 if I remember correctly. This thing was an animal, it often got very confused at stop lights; it didn’t know whether to smoke the tires or wheelie and often it just did both. It got stolen; looking back it was probably God’s plan to keep me in one piece for some kind of future assignment he would need me for!
Then I got into Porsche's
• 1977 911S
• 1987 Carrera
• 1989 930 Turbo with a 1994 3.6 fully built Turbo engine snuck into it - I sunk about 70k into that project producing 460hp Dyno RWH and finally sold her for $30k
Now I have my SL500 AMG and have managed not to touch it in any way shape or form. That in itself is a huge piece of personal growth and self control. I got my wife a BMW X3 and she is quite content. I needed another toy!

Growing up I always wanted a Triumph, BSA or a Norton; couldn’t ever give a rat’s ass about Harley’s or the whole Pirate scene that goes with it. One day at the doctor’s office I was thumbing through a motorcycle maggy and came across the Daytona 675 add and thought dam - they are making Triumphs again. I saw 125hp and I thought humm maybe I'll buy one. 2 days later I snuck (wife has no idea what my mind is already planning) down to the local Triumph dealer and there she was a Pure Black Daytona 675 - pure sex on 2 wheels! I sat on her and 3 things came to mind:
1. I am going to be uncomfortable after an hour in this position
2. My wife will never get on the back of this and therefore I will not be riding on Sundays
3. I will either kill myself on this or worse cripple myself
Therefore I started to look around and saw all the other Triumphs but when I saw the Bonneville Special Black Edition I new right then and there it was for me!

Fast forward 1 month from that time and I was turning the key and driving away from my dealer on my brand new 2007 Triumph Bonneville Special Black Edition! I have never regretted that decision and I truly love this bike. I have been able to cross out 1 of many childhood dreams on the checklist of life!
Proud to be an American Infidel!

That is quite a list! I really like old pickup trucks. 68-71 Chevy, Dodge Power Wagon, 56 Ford....

I found my new toy S3 will be traded as soon as I put the front end back on. I want one of those RC51 with the chicken strips on the tires.

So that you can make the chicken strips disappear? LOL

The RC-51 is quite a machine but has to be ridden hard to be enjoyable.
