BTB Warm-Up Ride

Postby Soupraman » Tue May 17, 2011 9:41 am

Hey All!

I've just returned from my BTB Warm-Up Ride to North Carolina (Deals Gap and Surrounding Areas), land of curvy roads!

9 Days / 64:45 Hours of riding time / 3,381 miles

My hands are still numb but my ass is feeling better. :)

Met an old friend (Alan Rehm) and made some new ones. The weather was terrific...the roads were awesome...the LEOs were apparently all on vacation. The only real LEO presence was directing traffic around a couple of Hardleys that failed to negotiate a particular curve on Rt 129 (aka The Dragon). I should have thanked those Hardley Guys for flushing them out! :lmao:

I'm now ready for Tracy Road!!

See you in a couple of weeks!

I know you had a great time. Glad to hear you guys are back home safe.

I wish someone could explain to me why the Harley guys even bother to ride the dragon. This needs to be on the back of a dragon shirt with a big Harley logo above it. 11 miles 318 curves 10mph.

Well you've done it now. Either now or at the bash you are going to have to spill it about the dog.

that is why I bought a Mazda MX5; my dog kept falling off the bike
now I can take him out for a ride and all he does is slobber on the side of the car

One of the guys we were with hit a dog (being walked without a leash). The dog ran out & the guy hit it, killed it & wrecked. Broke his leg & we had to tow his bike.

I however, didn't hit anything & didn't get pulled over even once!

that sucks, but at least the dog owner will have to pay for the bike and medical treatment +
