Someplace close to the Paradise 'cause I'm going to be a little saddle sore. I think I read something about Peppermills or maybe that Mexican place we went to last year? Is there a plan already?

P.S. I test rode this electric motorcycle:

You test ride the black one or the orange one? I hear if you put a thunderbird decal on that scooter they'll accept you for their "official count"

No Kamp Krusty for you again? So sad. Bring a chair for the fire, at least. I hear the folding nylon Chinese ones burn well.

I'm getting psyched for Thursday!

This will be my 5th time going up to Bennington for the Bash. I attended the first three BTBs back when I used to eat, sleep and breath motorcycles. Many people on here know (because I talk about myself incessantly) that I used to ride year round back when my bike was my only transportation. Then life/career/whatever got busy, and I missed two years worth of Bennington Bashes.

Eventually, I bought a car and rode less. Last year, I started to miss riding and made the decision to start going to the BTB again. But when I attended last year, I noticed things had changed. First, I noticed that most guys were faster than me, even the guys who used to be alot slower than me. Probably had to do with me gaining weight while the bike refused to gain corresponding horsepower. Or my skills had dulled - probably both. I also noticed far fewer Bonnies and many more Tigers/Thunderbirds. But most notably to me, last year I noticed this event was the one thing that got me back into caring about my bike. Unfortunately, I've ridden less than 2,000 miles since last year's bash.

I know why I stopped riding/stopped caring about my Scrambler. Two years ago I bought this 2006 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring with 26,000 miles:

Ever since then I have been geeking out on the car in the way that I used to obsess about the bike. The only time I showed the bike any love last year was when I prepped her for the BTB Rally. Same thing happened this year. I just spent two days doing maintenance and cleaning the Scram, trying to get her out of mothballs. My riding has gone into a Pupa stage.

Anyone else using this event as a kickoff to the motorcycle season/blow the dust off their bike?

 I've had a similar experience after a couple of convertibles came to live with Mrs. Lucky and I ...but I will not write or hint about that subject here as I don't want my Triumph manliness to be brought into question....In my mind I'm still quite the adventurer/rider

There's a time for everything. You ride when you like to. You stop when you don't. You got nothing to prove or apologize for.

After my pre-BTB ride got shitcanned, I was really hoping to ride my refreshed bonneville down, but it's not quite ready. Maybe next time. It is turning into a bit of a tigerfess.
