I just recruited another New England Brother Rat who is interested in joining us for the BTB!
Please welcome our new brother Michale aka NEPatriots9 - he should be registering shortly and checking in to introduce himself! :-)

Howdy,
Hey guys and gals, good to be here, I was telling Hedge, seems a little looser over here, I dig it.

Thanks Hedge for inviting me over. Really looking forward to this raid, will save me from having to drive to Lake George to speak with some other Triumph owners.

Thanks again folks and look forward to adding my two cents.

Michael

Glad to have you on-board. This will quite likely be one of the most amazing Triumph get together in this area. We are all really excited about meeting each other and putting faces to all the names. I for one look forward to this event. I'm glad your here.

SO where in New England you live and what kind of Triumph you have? Maybe post some pix of her - we love looking!

Hey guys,
I am from Old Town, Maine, about 10 miles outside Bangor and hour away from Bar Harbor, nice country when not snowing.

Here she is, 2006 Scrambler, great bike, blast to ride. prior to some mods last summer, more mods coming at the end of this month, I'll post new pictures then

That's a gorgeous Scrambler there Mike! We look forward to seeing it down at the BTB. Help me out here fellas - isn't there 1 or 2 more from Maine that is also coming down to the BTB? Maybe these guys can hook up and ride down together!

Hey Michael,

Welcome to the fold! And that's a sweet looking Scrambler. I've been tempted too often when I sit on one at the dealer's. Now I'll get to see one in action.

Thanks guys, I am really glad that I picked the Scrambler. My old man owned a '69 Bonnie and loved it, but told me to buy a Sportster 1200. His reasoning was there are about 12 Harley dealerships in the area and the closest Triumph dealership is in Falmouth, 140 miles away. That made me hesitate, but I bought the Scrambler anyway and have no regrets.

Hey NEPatriots9,
This is for your dad. It's me on my 1969 Bonnie, back a few years.

Thought it might bring back memories.

Beautiful bike. I will scan some pics of my Dads, looks just like yours, but had a plate that said "Sweet", modeled after Baretta's Sweet P. I still think it's corny.

Do you ride a Bonnie now? If so how do you like it compared to the old style. Trying to get my Dad to buy a new one, this may help. He really likes that new Cranberry color

NEPat,
When I got back into biking after years of family and life's other obligations, I bought the America. Not the same as the Bonnie, but a nice bike. Then I went to the Sprint. Wow. Great bike but I wanted to do more long distance "comfort" riding so I'm now on the '07 Tiger. I'll keep this one for awhile.

I do wish I had that '69 Bonnie back though! I can remember riding it in the spring of '70 when a guy in a car pulled along side of me and for the longest time just kept by my side looking at me and the bike. I started to feel a little pissed and was going to twist the throttle when all of a sudden he has this big grin on his face and he's giving me the thumbs up. Ya never know.
