Rat site chuckle

Postby modre » Sun Feb 17, 2008 10:34 am

I have to chuckle...monte came down hard and fast at the first mention of the pegs...I did the deed, then shut up...surfing a bit, I ran across him promoting the very thing he felt compelled to squash.

now that's ironic... no compass...just likes his ducks lined up.

I should send him a set for valentine's and see if he gushes.

The biggest problem is : that he gets to involved , with every single topic , it seems like. Gets on my nerves.

I have said it before he is probably a nice guy but, sure the fuck should not be
moderator of a motorcycle forum.
He would probably be great as moderator of a Sunday school class.

I just logged in for the first time in a while and what the fuck did they do to the site. I didn't see anything that interested me so I left but damn talking about screwing things up.

I use to cross swords with him a lot but after reflecting over the New Year holiday about myself I came to realize it was not about him and more about me and my lack of control. Just so your clear - a lot of the stuff that gets deleted or edited or what have you is not entirely his doing; there are others there who do their own thing as well. Monte is new to moderating and I'm sure if he thinks the subject is questionable he reaches out to those who have been there much longer and they probably take one look at whatever he has under suspicion and they do the dirty work. As far as I'm concerned he is just another Bozo on the bus that we are all riding and I'm not the driver - I'm' just along for the ride. I have ceased fighting anything or anyone in 2008 and as a result I am free from the bondage of control! :-)

PS - I hope he comes to the BTB, I would really like to meet him and talk with him and get to know him. I'm sure he is a regular guy!

Good post, Hedge. I think there's a lot of truth in what you had to say. When this subject first came up I was sort of taken aback at what seemed to me to be some pretty rough comments about Monte. I don't know him personally but also would like to meet him. He seems to have backed off quite a bit from when he first became a mod. And yes, I think he came down pretty hard on some of the members in the beginning. I guess we're never to old to learn.

I agree that there are more people behind the seen then just Monte
and I believe post are being moved or deleted more so by these other people.
But, I still see him giving warnings and threatening to lock a post over some
pretty stupid shit. He still treats every one like they are 12 year olds.

My option on the bondage thing is simply remove myself for a while until I can cool off.Think about it .Then I will continue on. If I am at wrong I will promptly admit it.Undoubtedly, he is a good preacher man , that's all I can and will say.Principles before personalities. Now, how about freedom from the bondage of snow so I can crank that baby out of the garage.
