Benny suggested this, he's so full of good ideas....I know it's only February, but I needed to DO something about this ride TODAY!!

I'm coming from Southeast MA....Bonnevillebilly? Whisperinsmith? Are you guys coming up on Thursday or Friday? I'm open to leave on either day.

I'm coming from Stowe. If I take the twistiest, most out of the way route it ought to take me a couple of hours...

Paula
I know wisperinsmith , Marde , my self
and I think they said there are also a couple of other guys from the Cap area
that are leaving early Friday morning.
As far as I know we have not laid out what route we will be taking.
They will be coming west on I-195 towards I-95 I'm sure I will hook up with them
some where off I-195
I'm hoping we make plans to stop for breakfast and lunch along the way.
It is just under 200 miles from where I am , I'm guessing it is going to take us around
3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours to get up there.
I hope we can hook up with you for the ride up there.

I'm full of somethin...

I'm probably headed up the day before to stay with my parents for a night. I'll be going up Rt 8 from Bridgeport, then over 20 to 7. Or I might go up 8 farther, we'll see.
02 BA, lots of goodies...
I may live in NY, but I grew up in VT! I'm a local for this one...

I'm riding down from Burlington. My plan was to leave Friday morning and arrive in Bennington around noon, then probably meet up with more folks down there, have lunch, and head out for an afternoon ride.

I'm sure I'll talk to Pete and some of the other CVRATs about meeting up somewhere for the ride down.

Paula,
I'm stuck with Friday. As is, I'm sneaking away from work a day early. I have to be there at the end of each month, but that month I'm closing the books a day early in order to head up to Bennington on Friday.

As Bill said; he and I and Marde (Martin) and I'm hoping Zombie from Welfleet will be hooking up with you for the ride. If you'd like to be there on Thursday, Martin did at one point ask about going up a day early. His itinerary may be flexible still. And he's a hot shit and would be fun company.

Let me know if you'd like to get up there for Thursday and I'll get in touch with Martin. If Friday is okay, as it gets closer, we will settle on time and place to meet up with you.

I'm one of those who likes to get to the destination and settle in and I miss too much along the way. So I'm hoping you guys slow me down and I get to enjoy the ride up. Maybe we could meet at Percy's in Middleboro for a bite and then head up? Or is that a backward swing for you?

We have time to decide. In any case, I don't want to arrive too late in the day. I'd like to have some time to see others arrive and to kick some tires. Maybe latest mid-afternoon? What's the concensus?

PS I just re-read Bill's post. Maybe Middleboro is not the best place to meet. Maybe something north of Providence. We've got to decide on the route up too. I know Zombie mentioned he knew some nice back road routes. I'll try to get in contact with him. He may have to head out early as Welfleet is a little ride from where we might all be able to meet.

Early Friday AM will be cool, I'd love to ride up with you guys..... I can always save the vacation day for another riding weekend. I'll keep my reservation for Thursday nite though -in case I decide to excercise my female perogative to change my miind. :)

Paula,
As a friend of mine often says, "If it weren't for the last two minutes, nothing would get done!" As it gets closer, we'll sort it all out. And of course, I'll allow for your right to change your mind and head up a day earlier. (I would too if I could!)

Anytime you'd like to revisit Percy's, let me know. And next time I'm having the BIG breakfast!

That's the ONLY breakfast!

Bill- are you intersted in meeting up for breakfast at Percy's with Whisperinsmith and me? We could make vroom vroom noises, and I could do my best to talk you all into coming up to Bennington on Thursday.

As soon as the weather breaks and we get some good riding weather
I could very easily be talked in to a big breakfast.
I have no idea where Percy’s is, I know I can get to Middleborough
from where I am by rt.44 east through Taunton.
I thought about going up on Thursday but, I can’t imagine there will be a whole
lot going on.
Sitting there eating pies all night really does nothing for me.
I am looking forward to riding up there with a good size group.
I’m hoping we will pick up some more guys and gals from around this area.
It’s getting closer every day but, 3 months sure sounds like a long way off.

As it gets closer, let me know what time you guys are meeting. I ride thru Bennington obviously to get home, so maybe I can stop off on the way to the rents!
