This bill is actually being introduced in the Connecticut legislature
S.B. No. 607 (RAISED) JUDICIARY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING THE IDENTIFICATION OF CERTAIN FIREARMS AND THE CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF FIREARMS', to facilitate the linking of used cartridge cases to the firearm that fired them by requiring the microstamping of semiautomatic pistols and to make all the disqualifiers for the possession of a handgun applicable to the possession of a long gun. REF. JUDICIARY
Alternatively, they want to microetch all handgun ammunition with individual serial numbers. All ammunition and ammunition buyers will be registered.
I guess if you can't outlaw firearms(remember the Second Amendment) then make it too difficult or too expensive to own one
What's next? Will they microetch tires to identify which car was used in a crime? How about microetch every beer can, so we can identify litterbugs
remember, they hate motorcycles too
God damn liberal commie bastards

Nancy Pelosi,
she's only a few rounds away from the Presidency as Speaker of the House. After the Democrats won the house and senante in 06 I said to my self, WTF! Nancy Pelosi is our Speaker. WTF?!! If that is not enough to scare you. I mean I don't care what you think of bush or his administraion, I actually am still a big supporter....because nothing is worth having the Democrats take all the offices of Govt. The Republicans rested on their morals and sat back and let the liberal Media bash Bush for the last 3 years, and then the Dems just swooped in and took all those seats away. The Repulicans should have stood up to the Media and liberals, and fought for what was right. FWIW, as bad as Bushs ratings are, has anybody seen the congressional ratings.???? Lo 20's maybe even in the teens now. The point is we get the govt we elect. And we put Pelosi in there. The moral is also if just cause you might hate your local, country, state, and federal republican candiates, ...well, look at what you get if you put in a Democrat....NANCY PELOSI. Just think about that next time you vote. Your in the booth, your saying to yourself "man, I don't really relate to the my republican candidate....so what do I do?, D...or R....think of Nancy Pelosi and all that gooopy mascara she has one, and all the goopy clumps of eyelash liner she has on..........Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!" Sorry I just threw up in my mouth a little...anyway ... just vote R. They wont take away your right to keep and bear arms.
Nancy????

So a few years ago I'm building a house and between the changing of addresses my notice for renewel came up. Yeah, you guest it, I missed getting it and was late by a couple of months so recently I had to go through the process all over again to get my pistol permit back. Totaly my fault as I should have let them know where I was moving to but the building process my total focus and I'm rather multi task disfunctional. Anyway, I don't even own a pistol right now but have had a Sig Saur 45, S&W 9 and a Glock 40 model 23. Sold one for the other until the Glock and sold that because of going through a divorce and as some of you already know there's too much crazy shit running around your head during such a time. Anyway, I'm now looking at the Glock 40 model 27 as the compact design makes it easy to conceal but don't know if the grip is sufficient enough to make it a good choice for a primary weapon and not just a back-up. Any thoughts? Cheers, Touko

Microetching ammunition with serial numbers... another brilliant scheme. As far as I've heard, the plan is to etch the casings, not the bullets. So smart criminals will simply pick up their brass... and maybe make it easy on themselves by using revolvers.
If they want to try microetching the bullets themselves, I wonder where they're planning to put the serial number so it doesn't get destroyed.
And what's to stop people from scraping the serial number off? These schemes are so pointless.
Yet another reason I'm glad I live in Vermont.

2 things!
1. I totally agree with Jimmy and I continually stock up on ammo. I specifically target anything sealed in battle packs for longevity. When the shit hits the fan it will be those who have the ammo that can really set the market price for everything else. What the fuck good is a gun if you have no ammo! If you have several guns and no ammo your certainly going to be more than willing to part with one gun to trade out for ammo and the same goes for food, and fuel.
2. I like the Sig 220. It was a hard choice between that and the HK 45 USP Compact Tactical. I have decided to go with the Sig and add on the Crimson Trace laser grips.

The state of CT is swirling the bowl with regard to cost of living and driving businesses out issues, and they're spending their time on this crap?
There is also a bill in progress to outlaw non-biodegradable plastic shopping bags in CT stores. Not a bad idea, but maybe there are other priorities first?
When I get things wrapped up here, a move out of state is high on my to-do list.

Me I chose the rather anitquated stuff. I went with a Ruger 30.06 all weather stock and for a bow hunting sidearm I use a 1911-a1 45acp. I had the feed ramp and barrel blended and polished to aid in loading everything from round nose to semi-wad cutters to hollow points. Custom main spring and sear spring, extened trigger for mu long fingers, full adjusteable rear sight with windage. If i run out of bullets then I have two bows and plenty of arrows to sling at the dumb bastards that come close enough, anything with in 60 yards is dead.
Man I feel better. On a normal note they can mark all the bullets they want because criminals will buy unmarked bullets all day long. marked casing will be able to be unmarked. for every point of control there will be a counter point to limit control. Just keep voting for the rights out forefathers wrote out while at church driniking bear smoking their own tabacco.

Who gives a flying fuck if they mark the casings as long as you pick them all up. Hell you can attach a bag that catches them. Let them Micro-etch whatever they want and a quick sanding should take that shit off as well. I guess the next thing they will outlaw is making your own ammo? Isn't melting down lead and re-packing shells with gunpowder and making new bullets a hobby? Or is this a criminal activity?

I can reload 2k an hour of hand gun about 200 in rifle so I dont have to worry but my goal is to have at least 10k of all the different calibers of brass sitting just in case . I need to start reloading before my daughter starts back shooting this spring 16 and she goes threw 250 rounds a night mostly .45 but she wants to shoot practical revolver this spring so maybe the 625 smith but more then likely the 686 with 38 specials.
