Brake side foot is done!

Postby Hedge » Wed Mar 26, 2008 3:33 pm

Motherfucking foot hurts like hell right now! I went into the OR at 7:20am and was home by 10:30am. No pain until 12pm. Took 8mg of Morphine at 12pm and nothing happened. Followed up with 6mg at 2pm and still nothing but tired. My foot hurts like hell right now but I don't want to OD before the wife gets home so I'll grin and bare it. I guess that's what happens when you shoot Heroin for 10 years - no pain killers really work anymore. Oh well, I think I'll throw some more ice on it and continue watching TV. Pictures will be posted in a few days when I'm more mobile than just going to the toilet! :D

8:10pm and still alive, still awake and the foot still fucking hurts. The wife is home and has checked up on me and fed me. I'm up to about 30mg all together and the pain is just starting to get masked. I just don't recall the left side hurting as much as this side. I did, however, know going into this that the right side was worse than the left side so I guess he had more to cut. The bandage is even bigger!

Hang in there Bro.
The first 24 hours is always the worst.
I remember after my surgery on my left shoulder when the block wore off.
I have never felt that much fucking pain in my life.
I had fucking tears in my eyes I stayed up all fucking night shaking unfucking controllable.
I wanted to fucking kill my doctor the next time I saw him.
The meds He gave me for after the operation were not worth a shit, they did nothing.
The bottle said take every 6 hours for pain as needed. I was taking then very 2 hours
and they still were not doing shit.
Eventually I will have to get the right shoulder done and when I talked with him about
the shit meds he gave me the last time he said oh.... we have changed our procedure
on the after care meds we give now????
I will hold off as long as I can before I get the right shoulder done.
I hope your pain will be gone soon.

That's what happens to us guys - Pain Killers don't effect us, at least what the bottle said like Bill wrote, I figure on doubling it cause I have, when I had my Hernia Surgery. Man, It was hell trying to take a shit ! Take care Hedge,I know it hurts, it won't last forever. By the way, Jimmy is sick as well . He's been working his ass damn near sick. Speed.

12:29am - still hurts like a motherfucker. Throbbing pain. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being tears I would say I'm a solid 8.5. 42mg so far in me and I still can't manage the pain. I'm in a very slight nod. I cannot believe how high my tolerance is. They gave me 4mg pills which as directed to be taken every 4 hours. I've doubled up every 2 hours and I can't get relief. Just 1 of these would have my wife's head in the toilet all night throwing up and I can't get pain relief after 42mg of this shit. Oh well - at least I have good movies to watch and my laptop by my bed. :-)
Making the best of it my fellow Bashers!

8:43am - I got limited sporadic sleep last night, like the first stretch was from 2am to 4am and then again until 5:30am and then 7:30am. Although the foot still hurts like a motherfucker I have to report it feels a bit better, maybe down to an 8 from 8.5

I'm starting to get tired and will probably take a nap soon.
