03/29/08 at 15:50:33 Hi folks!
I just wanted to get this out here for those that want to reserve rooms for this years meet. We are trying to figure a way to post a PDF file on the forum with the reservation form but haven't had much luck yet. Once we get it here you'll be able to fill it out and then drop it in the mail or fax it to Sunday River. Those that stayed on mountain last year should be seeing an invite for this year with the form in the letter. I hope this will make things go easier than ever.
Until then,
Reservation number is:
1-800-543-2754

booking number for the Maine European Motorcycle Meet:
84N7TS

Saturday evening's meal with entertainment:

Reply #1 - 03/31/08 at 18:22:07 Here it is folks,

http://www.sundayriver.com/pdfs/Western ... Meet08.pdf

Print this off, fill it in and fax or mail it to Sunday River asap please. You can email it to them but they don't recommend it as email isn't secure. USPS and fax should be. If you still don't want to put down your card number just attach a note saying "call for credit card information" and a number where they can reach you.
I think this will save time on the phone for everyone.
Thanks,
Mike

Reply #2 - 05/09/08 at 18:50:10 Please NOTE:
Reservations CAN be made by phone to the above number. The MEAL for Sat. night needs the fax,USPS form. I got an email from the mountain this week and they said there are only 3 reservations at this point and they wanted to know if the blocked off rooms could be sold to other parties. PLEASE, reserve your rooms early. You can always back out at a latter date.
Thanks,
Mike

He has a ton of stuff to give away, they're planning mini motard exhibition races and he's sponsoring three classes in the Sunday show. There will be prizes for best Ducati Monster, Ducati superbike and vintage Ducati !

9th Annual Western Maine Meet description/story

Postby hankspeed3 » Wed May 28, 2008 8:54 pm

Maine European Motorcycle Meet

What is the Maine European Motorcycle Meet? It's a wonderful weekend celebrating the art, engineering and music of European and British motorcycles. Hosted by Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel, Maine, this event which started as a one day BBQ has grown to a weekend long event that attracts folks from all over the US and Canada.

Over the years the attendance has gone from around 35 folks to over 300. The weekend events include, a meet and greet on Friday evening, a "Vintage" tour, "Adventure" tours, a covered bridge tour, as well as rides through the western mountains of Maine and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Vendors display bikes and gear throughout the weekend with past displays by Street Cycles (BMW and Triumph), Moto Milano (Ducati, VT Cycles (Ural and Royal Enfield), Great Bay Motorcycles (Ducati and Triumph) and The Motorcycle Shop. There are raffles for all sorts of odds and ends with past prizes from Whitehorse Gear, Spectro Oils, Cagiva USA, Shoei, Red Bull, Caravan B+B, The Bethel Inn, Staintune Exhaust and more. A 50/50 raffle is also drawn twice during the weekend.

Saturday evening brings the yearly party with a dinner and entertainment, which includes folks trying to stump me in a game of motorcycle trivia. In the past we've had some great times and it will surely continue this year. As the meet has gotten bigger over the years, reservations should be made to make sure you have a seat and there is enough food to go around.
Sunday brings the British and European Motorcycle show and this, as with the rest of the meet, continues to grow in attendance. The machinery displayed at the show is of the highest caliber. Past winners have been a Benelli six, a trick Laverda Jota, a titainium framed carbon fiber wheeled Ducati and more. Lots to see and a BBQ tops things off.

New this year: The Motorcycle Shop of Freeport, Maine has stepped up to present the meet. Because of this, we will be having live entertainment during the show on Sunday as well as the entertainment on Saturday night. They'll also have a big trailer full of gear and have a bunch of vintage bikes on display. I thank the crew at the shop for offering to help make this an even better event this year.

This year's event will be on July 25-27th at Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel, Maine. Please check the forum under "MEME Events" for the latest information on the meet and for reservation numbers and info. The forum will have all the latest news and updates and this home page only gets updated once a year. If anyone has any other questions about the meet or sponsorship, please feel free to contact me at 207-875-2113 or mds@megalink.net.

I hope to see you at the meet and ride safe.
Mike

Holy shit Hank, Thanks for the carpet bombing of the MEME event. I was at work typing thru a recessed monitor with glare, just posted something for people to look at.

Hank is one of the biggest supporters and defender of MEME. His passion is any triple or twin and MEME.

Thank you Hank
