Where should we have the Bash next year?

Okay folks, here's the official thread: where does everyone want to have next year's Bash?

The advantage to doing it in Bennington again would be that we're already familiar with the local infrastructure, potential sponsors, etc. Plus it's a nice location, and the majority of our members are from the Northeast.

We could also do it in the Birmingham, AL, area, since Robin will be moving down there. But if we do that we'll be starting from scratch in regards to planning.

Or we could move the BTB to some other location... although I think we should only consider cities that start with a B. :)

And, of course, we could see about expanding the Triumph Bash concept to multiple events -- maybe we keep the Bennington Triumph Bash, add a Seattle Triumph Bash or Dragon Triumph Bash or whatever (in conjunction with the other RAT packs already planning events in other areas).

What would you all like to see happen?

Mark,

I have been going to the MEME sunday river event for 3 years now, 4 counting this year. What I see going on there is it has become the centralized spot for MEME attendees. Every year it happens there is a growth of bikes. The nice thing is that when I'm telling someone about it all I have to do is tell someone, hey Sunday river the last wekend in July come and join us. We celebrate all european motorcycles.

Having the BTB in bennington again would establish Bennington as the BTB base. Then utilizing a satalite bash would then fall after that. That way people like myself and Mike who can't take two weeks off at one time could till go the main bash then schedule time for a satalite event. I think that any east coast event is withing my range of time off to allow riding down and back home.

I would like to have it in Bennington! It would be a homecoming for Robin & Paul! :-) This is how Rallies get started. We can add others from there.

although i won't be here in bennington, i agree that it should continue here. infrastucture was good, we have a template here. i can certainly assist in organizing, even from birmingham. i like also the idea of other bashes scattered around at different times in the season. when i get settled in b'ham, i'll certainly be organizing a central southeast bash.

I agree. Bennington was a great town and had everything needed for us. Including and most importantly... Amazing roads all around the town. Ohh and Hell yeah Rally...

Seth.
When you do things right, people wont know you've done anything at all!

It would also be starting from at least half, if not less, for people. Like Brett said, a well established event will only get bigger and better. And more legendary! I say keep it and then as people start other events, we just help eachother out in getting the word out and planning.

Thats right those that blew this off as if it was going to be lame are kicking themselves in the ass and waiting for the next one. We had a good time and when people find out how much fun it is they will take the time.

I am also all for keeping it in Bennington.
I think it would be cool if we could find an area that is centrally located in town
were we could hang out.
Hopefully we will have more attend the bash next year and even more the next.
And if it got big enough we could invite some vendors have biker games and so on.
Maybe even a wet T-shirt contest (Bonnelass) :D
I don't know??? but, I'm already looking forward to next year.

One more vote for Bennington. Saturday's ride with Tito was one of the best times I've ever had on two wheels. I made some new friends and bumped in to some old family acquaintances. Again thank you for putting on a great event. For those that didn't attend, during my week of touring New England I had the opportunity to visit event sponsors http://www.cyclewisevt.com/ and http://www.greatbaymotorcycles.com/ both had some sweet raingear on the racks.

I agree Bennington should be the place for next year's bash, as it has it all. I would be interested in seeing other satellite events develop over time, and visiting them if practicable. However, Bennington will always be the special one.
