Noodle Rally in Crozet Virginia Sept 18-22 2008

Postby TonUp » Fri Jun 06, 2008 10:41 pm

I went last year, going this year, anybody else?

I wanted to put the dates out there for Noodle 3, and pass along some ideas and see what you all think. I'm taking September 18-22 (Thursday through Monday). Early arrivals are welcome, but you may be put to work .
Same basic game plan as last year
(field events a tad earlier and more organized on Saturday),
D's donating jet fuels and beer
Sodas, water & juices
Roast on the grill Thursday with fixins'
Brats, dogs and salads on Friday,
Breakfast pastries and muffins, plenty of hot gourmet coffees, teas and cocoa
Jambalaya with pasta and tossed salads & Mojito's Saturday
I was thinking it would be good to take pre-registrations, so we don't over-buy in the food department. (We planned & prepared for 50 people last year)
What is a reasonable fee?
Tunes
Door Prizes and Awards ceremony with plenty of FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!
50/50 drawing
Outdoor shower and men's room and overflow showers at the campground (just put your name on the list at the camp store)
What are your thoughts?
Pat, I can't find the emails from last year about the B&B you stayed at, but will keep looking.
Rain or shine it's on, and we're getting an additional shelter if costs are under control.

My friend Beverly runs the show there. As soon as she gets the flyer and fees figured out I will post it here.

Thanks!
