Can we vote for both? :) We're going to go out to dinner, maybe a movie, but I don't want to be out late with all the drunken idiots on the roads...

I'm going to a party at a friend's house. Doesn't really count as going out because I won't be dealing with shitloads of drunk idiots in a bar or whatever, but it's not staying home either...

We ended up going to a diner cause the restaurants were so full, then we saw I Am Legend. Great movie, and spoiler allert, the "safe zone" in the movie was Bethel VT!!

I did the - Whatever makes you happy dear - thing! Her friends from work were having a small party so I told her I would go. We get there around 8:30pm and most of the people are beyond drunk except me and the host’s husband. Neither of us drink so nothing was as funny as everyone else thought it was. It gets old quick when they keep repeating the same incomplete stories and never get to the point because they loose all concept of what their original point even was! Needless to say the highlight of my evening was going down to the basement of the host's husband and looking at all his primo 1800's wood working tools. He actually had about everything you could ever need to build a house in the 1800's without power. He explained how each one worked and how they re-fabricated them when they were broken and how they sharpened stuff up as it got dull. The other highlight of the evening was my wife was drunk enough to leave by 11:20pm thus putting her in her PJ's and our bed b4 12pm and watching a little tube before i called it quits around 1pm.

I slept till 9am today and woke up, got some coffee and immediately got a 2008 earful from her about something or other to do with the fucking Christmas tree she was taking down! I grabbed my coffee and walked to my office and shut the door and came to the only place I never get shit upon - with all you Triumph Brothers!

Anyway - she is fine now and I am off to store all the Christmas shit in my parent’s attic for the next holiday. I'll be home for the next 5 days in bed after this bone spur operation tomorrow morning. I'll check in between NODs from the pain meds!

HAPPY 2008 all!

I know all about the fucking Christmas tree thing.
I guess if I'm lucky I will get to do it again next year.
Good luck on your bone spur operation hopefully you will heal up quick.
I have been putting off a shoulder surgery because It takes at least a couple months
to go through therapy and heal.
Happy New year to all.

Well my evening didn't go as planned I had a phone call at 5:00 pm a friend needed a ride to Brooklynn MD out side Baltimore for her uncle who had fallen so away we went. I got back about 9:00 and fixed dinner and sat and watched the old TV till I fell asleep. Hedge hope ya have a great day tomorrow and the pain is very light. Get well soon. Christmas Tree mines 2 feet tall stick the damn thing in the box and throw it in the basement DONE.

Yeah, didn't look much like Bethel though! And I kept wondering why (if the virus can't survive in colder temperatures) all of Vermont... and Maine... and Alaska... and Canada... wasn't a safe zone.

details details... I just like hearing Vermont in a movie!

I found out yesterday afternoon that friend of ours who livei n queens had a fire in their building when they were out. Someone 3 floors down left a candle unattended and the whole place went up. They lost everything, including a cat. Really sucks...

Exactly... We're trying to help them out best we can, but there's only so much we can do.
