Bennington Triumph Bash

I was wondering if anyone would entertain the thought of getting a group camp site next bash. Nightly cook outs and parties. Seems like the next level of the bash for me after the patio parties of this past year. Speed and I talked and a light went on if you cant bring your tent and bag with you on the bike send it ups and I will bring it in the truck. I would like to get a group together and spend some grass roots time this year.

I'm in. Ring-O-Round the campfire. Propane and all. Water& Electricity on sites ? = Wife and amenities. Hillbilly coffee in the morning. Have we left yet ? Oh yeah , Barbecue? ( Tent Group) Speed.

Not a bad idea Jimmy, if enough people did do this it would make it much easier for group meetings whether just getting into town or a staging area before a run. Need to get camping gear anyway for next years big rides so this could be a test for it.

That's what the BA.com folks are doing for the Nor'Easter this year upstate. There's a hotel a mile and a half away which is real nice too. Not sure if there is some sort of pavilion or something in case it rains...

Those of us who camped for this last one had a blast. The people who ran the campsite loved us, we had plenty of space. I'm gonna be camping next year regardless of weather it's something everyone wants to do or not.

Tim, so I can check it on mapquest. What was the name or add. of the campground?
Also, what were the amenities like? I'm begining to dig this idea and can picture the shananagans that are likely to happen.

The name of the place was Greenwood Lodge & Campsites. The lady who runs the place is very nice. As for the amenities, hot showers, clean bathrooms, a game room available if you wanted to use it, wi-fi in the lodge if you wanted to bring a laptop. They gave us a huge campsite, large to the point that there were 5 tents, 2 fire pits, a picnic table, all the bikes and my girlfriends car, and we had plenty of room that we could have done some slow races had the others not passed out. The people that ran the place we also kind enough to bring a port-a-potty and place it right outside of out site so we wouldn't have to walk to the lodge to shit. All this and it only cost each one of us $8 per person per night. I really can't say enough nice things about the place.

Thanks Tim, I'm totaly fucking in!! Sounds like this place would be perfect for a larger gathering. I've started a list of camping gear I'll need and will be researching what works and what doesn't over the Winter.

We'll all have a blast. I think it would be better anyway if we were all close knit anyway instead of being spread out all over Hell's half acres.

Hmmm.....yeah, probably should think of creating an antedote just in case. Next thing ya know the proprieter of the campground will be asking Jimmy not to pull the trees out of the ground and He'll be saying "but I'm only collecing fire wood".

I bet anyone that reads all this shit thinks I am some kind of fuckin madman. I am sorry if I left all of you with this thought of me but wait till you really get to know me. I thought camping out would give us a lot more freedom to move about and cook up some good eats and drink some cold refreshments may it be coca cola or some wild ass micro brew. Last May proved that unknown people could party and have a great time without egos. I didn't get to grill and with the extra days we are planning we could have a really good time with like minded people . Ride eat ride eat ride drink ride drink drink sleep ride mid morning.
