Just a Musical thought.....

Postby Speedblastr » Tue Dec 02, 2008 6:13 pm

I wonder what would happen if someone compiled all the music from "Song of the Day " and brought up a carousel CD player They are all our favorite picks. I got a good Marantz Tuner/Amp from yesteryear...70's Fully restored. Just a pondering thought.
Thanks Mark ! and the Crew !

We're not doing bands this year. As we discovered last year, it's too hard to please everyone because people's musical tastes are so wildly different. We're working on planning something else for the Saturday night party this year.

That's a good idea Seth, a DJ would probably be the way to go.

That's too bad Mark, I liked the live music last year, both bands were quite good.

if your gonna have a band or bands.. i think at least one of them should be rockabilly/50's/60's surf rock kinda music.. at least that way its based off the styles and the retroness of most of the bikes...

Just a thought....

Good ideas Seth and Speed, I would pay cash money to hear a band like that.

Ahem.

Another reason for this is that musical events are a lot of extra work and stress, and we want to try something different this year.

So no bands. A DJ is a possibility, but it depends on what the Saturday night event will be.

Speed, I've always thought to put my daughter to work getting the whole Song of The Day track downloaded to my computer, and then burn it to a CD. If I can get that to happen, I'll let you know.

Jesus Christ! Some times I wonder why they let you fossils out of the museum to run amok! You want to put 30 pages of songs of the day on a CD? Even 2 or 3?
M - P - 3 PLAYER! You can hook them up to almost anything and in the space that it would take you to carry 3 CD's you can carry every song on the song of the day list, every song by each of those artists, and still have room left over. Paula, ask your daughter to put the songs on an MP3 player, if you ask her to put the songs on to a CD the response you get might go like this, "Mom, only people your age listen to CD's anymore."

Are you spying in my windows, Tim? My daughter doesn't understand why I still listen to WHOLE CDs. LOL

Good thinking, Tim, you yutes have such fresh ideas.....we'll put the music on my iPod. Yes, I do have an iPod. Which I know how to turn on and off. Most of the time.
