Bennington Triumph Bash

Just got Triumph.

Want to come to bash.

Heard about it from Tito at the BMW breakfast.

Browsed through 11 pages of forum topics.

Haven't worked out the camping thing yet. How the hell do you hump camping gear on a Daytona? If this was a BMW thing, I would bring the GS which has room for a full bedroom and kitchen!

Want to come to Friday Lunch, ride to Brattleboro, dinner, ride back.

Might just go home Friday night. I live an hour away.

Not sure about the Saturday yet.

You just did brother. Welcome to the Bash. Can't answer to the camping on a Daytona question. I was riding a Sprint but due to total failure on my bikes part and the dealer and Triumph USA I will be on a Honda VFR.

Lots of nice folks here! There are many folks camping and many folks are staying in town. I am staying in town and sharing a taxi on Friday night to the campground. I am bringing beer and a smile!

Thanks for tips. I am shopping for new back pack that works. Have one, that I have tried, but it is too big to spend much time with. (Glad I am only coming from an hour away)

The Cortech bags look very good. I am now officially shopping for something like that. I just had no idea that I would be potentially camping with the new Brit Bike. I thought it was going to be for one hour gap and toursit terrorizing!

I'll shoot a picture of my normal camping gear on the BMW up to the forum, as soon as I can figure out how to do it, without having to link to a URL.

Check out Cyclewise in Middlebury 2 miles north of town on Route 7, open house this coming Saturday. Lots of luggage to choose from. I will be there Friday and Saturday.

Welcome to the fun house Larry. I checked out a set of Cortech bags for my Rocket and realized I could get larger bags on that bike so went with a set from Ridegear. Personally, I liked the Cortech bags much better and for the price think they are a great deal. It was a simple matter of being able to pack more trash in the Ridegear bags and since I'm new to camping I'm likely taking more stuff than I need. Good luck,

those cortech begs have a bungy tail pack that fits into clips on the sidebags. triumph makes sport bags that would probably work on the daytona. i got a set for my bonnie after i changed out the seat.
we are going to hivel's to put the bags on lovel's vfr tonite...all those "vels"...

Another excellent option for luggage is Motopak ( http://www.motopakluggage.com ). I have several of their bags and really like them -- excellent quality, and their prices are much cheaper than the competition.
