I've E-Mailed the appropriate people. I'll tell you what though, I'm going to fan this out , as well, networking our Brothers and Sisters. This cannot land all on me. However,I work extremely well in multi-task situations with the greatest of ease in high pressure like my brother Jimmy alas I'm still recruiting some peeps.
I think this should involve a group of us as a whole and not one of us. (me)
{ It's kind of news to me anyhow. Jimmy,Touko and I were going to have some grits and some beers for people arriving,but I was unaware of myself being the sole proprietor of a hulla-Balloo }
Until I got the E-mail from 13 kinds of Hell.
Not to worry. We'll get-r-done. It'll be great.
So the peeps that I E-mailed better call me on H/ phone # or E-Mail Me or I will unleash Spawn. LoL
Better be figuring out something else besides a donation bucket , need capital first !
Oh... by the way I have an old-fashioned 'Jart' set that I'm bringing. Metal Tips.

Quote:Well, the idea is that we're going to ride back to the campground after dinner and have a party there. So everyone who's camping will already be where they're going to sleep. We don't have the resources to arrange a shuttle bus that runs back and forth all night long -- way too expensive.

Any campers who want to go to the bars in the evening instead of attending the party will need to arrange their own transportation.

Why is Tito asking BBQ ? Grill? Wood/ Etc.Okay let's pull this thing together folks.

Hi Steve,
I'll assist with the hullaballo planning. I'm a woman, so organizing and delegating are well within my purview. (When I was a director of a woman's clinic, I was dubbed "Flow Bitch" cuz I kept everything moving smoothly ;) )

Here's what we need:
1.) Truck to go shopping Friday AM- Steve, is that you?
2.) Money on Friday morning to shop with- I say everyone who's in Bennington for breakfast on Friday AM meet me and kick in for hullaballo yummies and drinks, yes? I'm staying at the Paradise. This will get us going and we'll pass the helmet Friday evening.
3.) Some coolers for ice- anybody local or trailering able to share?
4.) A portable grill or 2 or 3- anybody local or trailering able to share theirs for Friday nite?
5.) A Grillmaster- one of you manly types to grill stuff
6.) Folding camp tables to put condiments, papergoods, utensils on?
7.) Hunky men to carry the stuff we buy at the grocery store to the truck and unload at the campsite

What am I missing?

Mark ; Top of the Hill Grill in Brattleboro at 5pm instead. Quote: We’ll have dinner at the Top of the Hill Grill (please let us know your preference of food in this forum thread so we can let the restaurant know what to expect), hang out for a while, then ride back to Bennington. Those of us who are camping will have a party/campfire at Greenwood Campsites; if you’re staying in town but would like to hang out with us, we’d love to have you join us, just be aware that Greenwood does charge an entry fee for visitors. If interest is high enough, we will try to organize a shuttle bus or taxi service to get you from Bennington to the campground and back -- we don’t want people riding their motorcycles after drinking. Please sign up here.

If hanging out at the campground isn’t really your thing, downtown Bennington offers a number of bars and restaurants. Use the discussion forum to connect with other attendees, if you like.

Okay I panicked a little. Are all you Champlain riders on the same page about Fri. eats?
just dotting eyes and crossing T's if that's the case.
That's why my Pops always told me to read the directions.LoL

Ok, just got off the tele with Steve. So that all will Know. THERE WILL BE BEER! Basically, we figure 90 percent of the people coming to this event will be going to the bbq so eats at the campground will not be a major issue but there will be a cooler set up with dogs and such so anyone can help themselves to the eats (but you gotta cook em). Steve will be bringing a gas grill for grillin and there will be buns, and condiments and fixins. I will be making my chile so that will be there too and don't blame me if you don't wear your asbestes shorts. We will be getting plenty of beer and there will be a hat or helmet or whatever for donations to cover expenses. Should there be extra after reembersing anyone who donated up front it will go to the same organizations as last year. The party will be thrown in the same free style (non profit) manner as Robins house party was done last year. (that totally rocked) ATriumphGoddess has a good list of what to do and I believe it about covers it.

1. Steve has a truck so I think were good with that.
2. Just need a meeting place to kick in some bucks and get some party favors. I'm in on that for sure. No, I'm not independently wealthy but I been saving my lunch money for a good cause and this is it.
3. Anyone who can bring a cooler or two would certainly be welcomed.
4. Steve's got the grillin stuff.
5. There's picnic tables around that can be brought to a central location.
6. Hunky men? Aren't we all? Ok, no problem there.
7. I believe Kurt has the wood thing taken care of and then some.

Easy Squeezy Japafukin easy.

Sorry Steve, we should have had an actual conversation!

There's no need to go to great lengths to organize the Friday night party. People will have eaten in Brattleboro, so all we need for food is a bunch of bags of chips or something. And we can always just ask people to bring beer with them, so it's not necessary to provide a keg or anything. That's what I was thinking, anyway.

seriously, make it a BYOB and have some snacks. put out a helmet and all will come around. i don't think that there will be a big need for meal type food with the bbq ride being early dinner time.
lovel and i will be in the area early in the week and will check in for anything that may need to be done. kurt will help too, he's a good egg and local with a big truck too!!
