Top of the Hill or Curtis'?

Postby sevy » Thu May 28, 2009 8:27 pm

We might go wandering toward Brattleboro on Saturday, since my group won't be able to attend on Friday. Any preferences on these two suggested stops, or are they both great? (I could eat barbecue for every meal, and my gold standard is Dinosaur Barbecue, so give it to me straight)

Curtis is BBQ worthy of a detour, but, I am not sure if he is open yet. Spring to Fall, mostly a summer place. Try to call.

Curtis's daughter and son-in-law opened a place that is open year round in Chester. Hop, skip and a jump from Putney/Brattleboro area, nice ride and same BBQ.

Never been to Top of the Hill, so can't compare them.

By the by, where is Dinosaur BBQ?

Dinosaur is a biker bar in Syracuse NY, and they also are in Rochester and NY, NY. Their food is pretty famous I think.

Most of us weren't too impressed with Curtis' BBQ last year, which is why we're going to Top of the Hill this year.

Yeah, I like Big Fatty's, especially their pulled pork and fried okra.
