a nice lawn. Robert Frost is burried up the street too... When they dug for that bypass nearby they found the largest Indian settlement of artifacts in New England. Something like that anyway...

the monument was built on the site of the munition stores that were being defended from the brits during the revolutionary was. there is also a bennington battlefield, interestingly located in walloomsac ny.
mcd's is in the commercial strip...not the prettiest area of town.
there is the historic downtown area, hemmings motor news, bennington museum, lots of good riding, hiking, fishing etc...

Several bars also and a coffee shop. Women in the area also seem to have a heightened sense of arrousal. Not sure if it has anything to do with the monument or not but a lot of the local men have severe feelings of inadequacy.

I'm going there with one purpose and one purpose only - to meet all you people in person and ride anywhere with any of you. I could care less if that means we are routed through the trailer park - although I might not be back for the 2nd annual unless it maybe gets moved to Alabama! :-)

I too am going so I can meet all you triumph riders.
One thing I know is there is some absolutely beautiful riding up there in the mountains.
I go up to the Berkshire mountains every year in early September for the MMA.
(Mass, Motorcycle Association) fall round up ride held in Heath mass right on the
VT. boarder not to far Bennington. I go up on a Friday and come home on Sunday.
It is beautiful up there.

All packed up ready to head up to the mountains.

Hey not once has anyone mentioned a damn bear till now whats up with that. Several bars good info for those evening relaxing moments. Now you tell me they have women also good god men you have to post these things ahead of time LOL. Not interested in the women I am bringing my own but food and beer make for great times after a great day of riding with new friends and old ones to. But that damn bear thing is going to pose a problem LOL. We are going to have one hell of a time that town will be talking about this all year.

Don't forget the moose :) That's why I'm staying locally so I don't have to ride up to Manchester to my parent's at night!

Hey Billy, is that hairpin on Rt 2 near North Adams?

If you get a chance, ride out Rt 2, then go up to Bennington and ride back on Rt 9. NICE loop.
