Hey CT guys-
Coming from Providence, what's a pretty secondary/back roads (primarily) way to get to Haddam Neck Fairgrounds?

Ok a great way to ride which is a nice route would be... RT 6 West to RT 66 West to 151 South. then just follow the signs to Brit Jam...

That is a very direct route without any highway.

If you want a longer and way more picturesk route get to RT 14 west in Providence take that all the way to RT 97 South in Scotland CT. Take that to RT 207 West to RT 16 West. RT16 will dump you onto RT66 West about 5 Miles before the tunroff on 151 to Britjam, then loook for signs..

Cheers and goodluck.

Hey Paula, heard you were there but couldn't find ya. Did get to see Uncle Charlie; Seth and the Rockers; Brian; Hedge and Misses Hedge; Drlapo; and a couple of other folks I haven't seen in over 20 years. Great time and a well run event. By the way, how's the new Bonnie doing?

Hey Touko! Sorry I missed you. Saw Tim and his coolio Speedmaster and said a quick hi to Charlie.
We got to Brit Jam around 11:30 AM I think, only stayed about an hour and a half, then we took off for an afternoon ride through CT. Hit the Vanilla Bean on the way back up into RI for late afternooon sandwiches and iced coffees.

What a great event- I wish we had stayed longer to connect with folks but George and his friend Roger (who has a 79 Trumpet that he swears he's going to put back on the road next year :) ) were getting all cranky in the heat and wanted to get in the wind.

I'm going to drag G and R to the Rocker's Reunion on 9/6, take thier keys from them when we park, and ensure that I get to properly visit with Bash peeps.

Oh! My Sweet Bonnie Marie is an incredible bike.... She runs like a top while i ride around with a happy grin on my face. 60 pounds lighter than my America, I notice the weight difference riding and cornering in a very positive way. And I like the EFI. Surprisingly, after 20 years of riding bikes with forward controls, I've discovered that I REALLY LOVE an upright riding position with mid controls. I had a custom upholstery guy shave a little more foam off the seat and drop in a gel insert last week, and I put on grip cushions as I found the stock grips too small and my right wrist cramped up; much better with the extra diameter from the cushions. As that is my only complaint, I considerer myself a very pleased TriumphGoddess.

I'm leaving the airbox and air injection alone. Running stock pipes, the pipes are already bluing- but to me that shows she's well loved and well ridden. :)

All good with the new Bonnie then; that's great! Will likely see you guys at the Rockers party on the 9th. Maybe we can get a few people to go to the Vanilla Bean in the morn and head out for it from there. Was wondering about Billy? Have ya heard from him?

Hey Bill- very cool on the Bonny chopper! I'd love to see that paint in person. Let's plan on meeting up and riding to CT for the Rocker's Reunion

Touko- The idea of meeting at the Vanilla Bean in the AM works for me.

Ok Billy then you need a break! Great Chopper! The Rockers event starts at 11:00 so if we get to the Bean at say 9:30 to 10:00 and leave at 10:30 then we should be there around 11:30. Sound good Paula; Bill?
