Did Not Ride To Work Today

I am sad to say that I did not ride my VFR to work today.

The 1993 F-150 has been sitting out in front of the house patiently waiting it's turn. She's been a good truck with very few problems over the years. I almost feel bad using her less than once a week. Hope she makes the most of today because she will be resting for the rest of the week.

I love my motorcycle.

So I take it you guys are getting rain this week too? It's pouring rain today here in CT, but I really can't complain since it was sunny and 60 degress on Saturday.

No we aren't getting rain. We already had our rain his year. Rained 27 hrs straight when that last tropical storm moved through. Nice steady rain. I had a foot of water in my basement. Didn't realize the sump had decided to take a little break.

I just didn't want the truck to dry rot from lack of use. I will be riding the rest of the week. Light rain possible tomorrow morning. If it happens I will try out my new rain stuff.

I haven't driven the car to work since the beginning of March.

I use it to go grocery shopping though.

I also find it difficult to carry all of the beer and wine home on the motorcycle.

You're still pulling ahead of me, Tito. My Strom is only coming up on 25,000 miles.

I picked up studded tires for the XRL on Saturday. I'll spoon them on when significant snow is forecast.

Now I feel like a wimp. It is a little wet outside today so I drove the truck.

Cheers!

It is a balmy 31F right now and snowing and I rode to work this morning. We have some bad weather on its way will leave the bike here in a heated garage, wash it and get it ready for storage next week.

Today, December 9, is the first day I've had to drive the cage to work since the beginning of March. Roads were just too snowy this morning, with more on the way, and the studded tires aren't on the bike yet.

EDIT: How appropriate that this sad post is my 666th one!

We had some hazardous weather last night. Before I went to bed I could hear the wind from the south Howling over the mountain and the temperature had risen to 67 degrees. That was weird. Instead of shoveling snow we were pumping water out of the basement this morning

Oh yeah. I rode today and actually went back to my leather jacket instead of the warm one with all the liners in it.
