Bennington Triumph Bash

Hi folks; wow, my registration is still good!

You've inspired me. I'm putting together something similar to the Bash this September in Taos, New Mexico.

I've been to one organized multi-day ride event, but I've never run one. I figured, where better to go for advice than the BTB crew!

I'm working on an agreement with a hotel, and I've got dates and some good routes picked out. I figure I ought to have route maps printed, but beyond that, I don't really know if I need to do more organizing, and if so, what that might be.

Naturally, any of you are welcome to come on out, too, assuming you'd like to see your bike here:

Sounds like a great plan, hidesert! We were hoping that similar events would begin springing up around the country.

I think one of the strengths of the BTB is that it's very flexible. We've got no arrangements with particular hotels besides arranging discounts with a few of them. The BTB doesn't have a "home base" aside from the town of Bennington, so people are free to stay in whatever hotel they want, or camp if they prefer the experience (and financial savings). The great thing about this is that there's a lot of freedom in how people participate in the event, and there's no feeling of obligation created by having to pay a registration fee or whatever. The whole event feels much more like a gathering of friends than a "rally."

Ironically, Tito's talking about moving to the Southwest next year, so I'm sure he'd be happy to help out with your event if you do it again in coming years.

Mark, Robin and I would love to see more and more similar BASH events around the country.

Our biggest asset is the people who attend this event and the folks who help put it together. Our goal is to promote the Triumph brand while getting friendly like minded folks to spend time together doing something we all love. We have an incredible group of people from all parts of the country and all walks of life, here we are all one.

Having a Website and a FORUM makes it a lot easier to communicate, it also makes our life easier from an operational and marketing stand point whether we are posting rides, maps, places to eat, lodging, SPONSORS, and things to see and do while on the area.

We try to keep it simple and affordable and we also try to provide everyone with choices to make their stay and BASH experience enjoyable, something they would want to to again and again.

I am looking into relocating to Albuquerque, NM next year so I should be able to help you out.
