GOT WOOD?

Postby TonUp » Tue Mar 24, 2009 7:17 am

I always have WOOD! Solid!

On a more serious note do we need more firewood for the fire at the campsite? Kurt was wondering if he can help out.

I'd have to check the literature again but I believe the proprieters are specific about not bringing any wood into the campground because of bug problems. They do say there is ample wood available (at cost) but not likely for anything resembling a bon fire but more like a regular campfire. Oh well.

Like Todd said, they say no outside wood, but if you're local it may be cool. Just ask em :D Pallet wood would (wood would, that's funny...) likely be considered out of state wood tho... Makes a dam fine bonfire tho!

I'd say we could raid my parents' woodpile, but my dad might get pissed :D

Campground Rules: Bring no Foreign wood !
Ash Bore problems and pests of such.
I imagine we can get wood up there or the facility knows of a woodcutter nearby that's
acceptable. Read policy.

Tires burn real well, and there aren't any bugs to worry about. I also have a few gallons of used motor oil and pressure treated wood scraps I can bring - oh, wait a minute, this is Vermont, not New Jersey!

Kurt!

If you can an visit the folks at the campground and ask about the WOOD in question that would help us. We don't want to break any rules, this event has to repeat again next year.

Thanks again!

Tito
