Hey What'd I miss?

Postby bennybmn » Thu Mar 19, 2009 10:35 am

Hey guys. Sorry I've been out of touch lately... Been busy/mentally occupied for a couple months... Long story short, my job had been sucking for a while, and I finally got laid off last month, so it's been kinda tough. But hey, I hated that job anyway!! So the search goes on. Otherwise I've been good. Had my 3 year checkup with the neurologist, and all's well on the MS front! No news is good news ya know?

So what's the story here? There's a TON of threads.... Can someone give me the short short version of the bash plans? I'll get in touch with Speed about the camping stuff (I read enough to know he's the man...). And it looks like there's a friday night party planned. What else? Any music? Should I bring my sax? :D OK maybe just a harmonica or two... Easier to pack.

In the meantime, I've been doing a lot of woodworking. Even joined a local woodworking club! And the wife is hooking me up with some of her friends who need odd jobs done/stuff built. I need to make a flier so she can put it up in her faculty room. I built a set of steps for her friend's grandfather to get from the garage to the house. Only two steps, but all he had was a plank on a cement block!!

I also built a couple kid's flip stools.

One of which was for my lovely niece Lizzie :D

I also built this ladybug trivet for my sister out of cherry and maple.

I've also been pimping out my tools a little here and there...

Dust shroud for my miter saw

Built an awesome router table/air cleaner too. That was fun.

Image

I made a cupholder for my Vidmar :D It's held on with a magnet, but I needed a couple hooks so it wouldn't spin...

MAde this mallet...

I've made a few of these parts sorters for myself and some friends. It's nice, you can dump a coffee can of random nuts and bolts out on it, find what you want, and dump them all back in without spilling anything :D

I feel like I've done a bunch more too... but that's enough for now :D If anyone has any cool ideas, especially for kids furniture type stuff, lemme know. Always looking for ideas in case one of Kim's friends wants something built!

Enough about me, how's everyone else doing? Ready to do some riding?!? :D

Thanks! And shortly AFTER I wrote this post I found the itinerary stuff.... Sounds like a good plan to me! I also emailed Greenwood about a bunk in the "lodge" or whatever they have.

Hey Dude ! I thought you evaporated for a minute.
woodworking = Nice.
Sort of a hobby of mine too but haven't done anything for awhile.
Made a lot of coffee Tables. Glad to see your back , sorry about the job , it almost conveys
status-quo anymore.
Hope your weathering it O.K.............. It's almost Bash time , are you going to be able to swing it ?
Anyway I want to see you trip and shit yourself ! LoL [ remembering an old post ]
