Yeah, so now it's saying mostly cloudy with a "chance" of rain on Wedn; for Christ sakes I get all geared up to dodge the clouds all day and sometimes beat the rain and sometimes hang out under a bridge with a good smoke and now it's just a chance? Oh, so rain on Wedn. night and Thurs. night will make up for it? Here I am sleeping snug as a bug while the rain makes that oh so natural sleep sound on the roof of my tent whilst I fall into a Rip-Van-Winkle type coma and I'm supposed to care? If the weather men can do no better than this then I'll just have to succumb to New England weather at it's finest.

Wake up? Man, from the weather report it says there's gonna be 10 hours of rain Wedn. night. I can't remember when I had the luxury of sleeping 10 hours so I might even pretend it's raining more and go for 11. Now Thurs. says only 9 hours of rain at night. They're not gonna jip me outta some extra zeezzz while I'm on holiday. I'm sleeping in and I don't care if it doesn't rain at all.

Where are you guys looking at forecasts? Weather.com's forecast for Bennington isn't so rosy.

Saturday's supposed to be great, but there's a 40% chance of rain Friday and a 60% chance of rain Thursday. It's a little worse up here in Burlington.

I may wait till Friday morning to ride down based on this.

If you look at accuweather.com, On Thursday around 1pm it says it will rain, then maybe again later that night. Same for Friday, and Saturday looks good. Which do you believe? I don't have any wet weather gear so planning around it is getting tricky.

Weather.com is saying 60% chance of rain Friday, high of 72; partly cloudy Saturday, high of 68; and mostly sunny Sunday, high of 68.

The National Weather Service says 50% chance of showers on Friday, high of 71; mostly cloudy with 30% chance of showers on Saturday with a high of 71, and mostly sunny on Sunday with a high of 66.

So at least the weekend ought to be pretty decent. Friday might be a little soggy though.

I'd look into something, even like a Walmart gorton's fisherman yellow suit. It's nice that it's not going to be hot, so you can toss on some rain paints and not get soaked from sweat! DAys like that, I like to wear my rain pants, then stop and throw on the jacket as needed. Pants are a pain to wrangle on roadside.
