Yes please do contact Patti or Georgia and see if you can make arrangements for 50% of the rooms. Room #112 for me . We can start reserving rooms ASAP and show the Paradise that we mean business. Perhaps next year we can have even more.

Thanks for all your help!

I'll call today.
Am I correct that next years BTB will be June 2- June 5, 2011? The weekend AFTER Memorial Day, correct?

IxNay on the IdtownMay for next year. The stories are scaring me. :( I'll keep trying to find a second motel within walking distance to town with a lower price point.

The motel that Bill stays makes him happy, but it's closer to the campground and about 8 miles from town.

Paula, I guess the dates for next year are Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5. Not the best for me, and I was thinking it might be fun to try doing the BTB in the fall (better weather, usually!), but it seems the momentum is keeping it the weekend after Memorial Day.

Hi Mark :)
The Paradise is emailing me a contract to reserve a bigger block of rooms for next year. As soon as I've got everything all set I'll start a new thread, called Paradise Inn Lodging BTB 2011.

Paula,

Great!!! You DA MA'AM!!!

For what it's worth, I was talking with the person behind the desk when I checked out Monday morning and thery were happy with us as a group.

I look forward to staying there again next year.

As for date options what about the 2nd weekend in June or does that butt heads with Bennington College Graduateion again?

Second weekend in June is Americade. The whole region will be swarmed with Goldwings and Harleys.

MIDTOWN

Horrible.

The floor was so dirty i never took my socks off.
I surely got bit by something in my sleep.
The pool was filled in with rocks, trees, etc but it was still adveritsed on the sign
but the best part was the group from California that was 'living' there. they had an infant child that traveled with a very shady looking dude on his lap in the back seat of their car.

And also Ken's friend across the street told us about the police and ambulance taking people out on Saturday while we were off on our rides.

PARADISE next year please. We were there for the 2 years prior and missed it by a week or so this year. DAMN.

I wouldn't mind Memorial Day weekend as it gives us an extra day to hang out but I'm sure some people have other plans, though.

The reason we've always picked the weekend after Memorial Day is that it fits neatly between Memorial Day weekend (when a lot of people can't make it because they're busy with family) and Americade (two weeks after Memorial Day).

I would kind of like to try doing the BTB in the early autumn instead, but we've got the late-spring momentum built up so it probably doesn't make much sense to change it now.

I have been thinking about maybe doing a small, even more informal Burlington-area get-together in the fall...

Fall in Burlington is what, mid August? LOL, but it would be nice to do some riding with the fall colors, but before the "peepers" really get out!
