hedge invited me here because the rat site are possible nazis..is there anyone here familiar with me? (one toe extended gingerly to test the water)

I ran across this spring "rally" somewhere before and had it in the back of my mind as a potential get away...let me read thru some of the threads and get a feel for this...and I guess we'll go from there.

(this is where I be quiet and you say "hello")

hello modre. I think you will notice most of the names here from the ratnet. It seems like most of us choose to use the same ones. Welcome to the site and be careful what you post because there is no filter to prevent you from typing words like fuck and shit.

Oh yeah, whatever you do don't look at the monkey ass. You will be scared for life.

I hail from a suburb 10 miles S of downtown Pittsburgh
I'll be 56 this coming June...tail end of raising 4 kids...the first 28yo son stayed with his mom and became as uninspired as she, the 24yo step-daughter put herself thru 5 1/2 years of college and is now a teacher w/ special ed credentials with a Masters, the 19yo daughter is up at case western for biomedical engineering, and the 15 yo daughter is also a consistant high honor roll kid with ambitions to be a stay at home dog petter...and my wife won't let you have me...she likes me just fine after 20 years.

I played sax seriously for decades with folks like Martha Reeves (& the Vandellas) and a doz, other names you would know...and I piddle around with mechanical stuff...I invent. lots of tools...I restored a 1790s log house and a 56 Flxible bus along the way...now I'm just burnt out and 1/2 crazy...in a fun kind of way...and I have stories...lots of stories.

right now, I'm sitting thru winter burning bridges for heat and insulting people from cabin fever.

...how's your day going so far?

Oh...and I see you're from SE Mass...I went to school up at Berklee in the Back Bay...and was up at Dighton at Sam Pine's at a bus rally the weekend John John went down ...but I had nothing to do with that.

Hi Mark...I see you're from Burlington...do you know a Jim Minetti in Colchester? he's a homeboy from here and we have a long history...he also has 3 500 triumphs in his basement that should be taken off him with a bitch-slap and few words...

from the Flxible bus folks, I also know Ramblin' Rick who has something to do with the spring food festival up there...tho we're not at all close. he has a green skyliner clipper that was used in the Jennifer Love Hewitt movie about Audrey Hepburn...I'm sure you've seen it around, cause he's real proud of it.

Can't say that I do, no.

I haven't seen the movie, but that bus has to be the one that's constantly parked next door to my work. I can't imagine that there are too many other green Flxibles in Burlington!

Rick - I'm glad you made it over here! You will soon see that this is where all the TRAT criminals live! For those of you who don't know Rick - he is the inventor of the Famous Modre 2" foot peg lowering brackets that bring comfort to long legs. I, myself being 5'10" have a set that I will be installing very soon with my new Oberon pegs. I'm also gonna give a quick shout-out to his newest invention, a small portable road jack that can lift the front end up off the ground. This is a handy thing to take with you on the road if you have a center stand because now you can get both wheels up. I kinda wanted it for winter storage purposes myself because I don't have enough room right now to fully utilize my new aluminum Sears motorcycle jack.
Anyway - welcome aboard and feel free to invite any other TRAT disenters over here as well.
