i had a great time this year, the only thing i would change is the restaurant for sat night
they are not capable of handling 100 people at a time
either find a bigger place, or have them hire 5 more cooks for the evening

Thanks we are working on it, Buffet type meal next time, it is a lot easier to manage.

Bennington Station was a huge improvement for us over the previous two years at a different restaurant, where we got mixed in with other random customers and didn't even get to sit together.

If they'll have us again, we'll definitely do the dinner there again next year, but we'll figure out a way to make it easier for them, such as the buffet Tito mentions.

I agree, the only thing good about it was we were altogether.
Other then that I though it sucked!!!!
It was to crowed
It was to expensive
It took "3 fucking " hours to get my over cooked and over priced meal.
They were definitely not ready for us.
I think a buffet style is a very good idea.
I do realize it is not easy to accommodate that many people.
If we get much bigger, which I am sure we will.
we might want to look into renting a hall for the night.

At our table of 6, the food was excellent. Best food I've had in the area except Kevins in N Bennington.

I dont think they were expecting as many people that showed up. There needs to be a way to give the facility an accurate head count so they can prepare. Even a buffet wont work if they are expecting 50 & get 150. the staff did a great job for what was thrown at them.

Maybe a limited menu - 3-5 entrees - beef, chicken, fish, pasta, etc. You pick one & get a side salad & a side dish for a flat rate. Like you do for a wedding reception. Drinks could be ala carte.

Not sure I have the answer, but it should be disussed.

I think this years dinner beat the previous years hands down.

Alan

PS. I'll copy this to a new thread labeled sat dinner so everyone can see & comment...

Thanks Alan.

Anyone else, if you want to comment on dinner, please do so in the other thread, not this one.

I'm looking forward to the bash again this year, I hope with my new job I'll be able to take Friday off! Last year I was in the ends of being self employed and just took the week off. The pay and security is better, but the lack of freedom sucks!!!
