It's December and I'm still riding

Went for a shortish ride today(2 1/2 hours). Temps were low 40's, and I was aided by my Gerbings. Best $$ I ever spent. I'm not looking forward to the white stuff falling, but here in the Philly area we're still golden. You don't have to go far, so I'll call myself lucky and be done with it! There is a reason I live here and not in NE anymore :)
Next move will be back to TX in a couple of years, My HS friends are complaining about cold @ night, but it gets up to the mid 60's during the day FFS!!!

Good work! Keep that motor turning.
No rain near Philly today? Man, it has pissed here in NJ all day.
Went for a 70 mile ride yesterday on a Thruxton - good stuff, although a bit cold.
I never "winterize" the motorcycles brcause a day in the 30's or higher and no snow/ice/salt/slush on the road and I go for a little spin.
Now those poor Vermont souls, well, I hear it really snows up there.

I mounted the studded knobby tires on the XR650L yesterday. So it's ready to hit up some snowy dirt roads. And the V-Strom stays out all winter waiting for those dry, sunny days.

Actually it was Saturday that I rode, today rained all day. Up in the hills, I encountered some light salt on the roads, that bothers me as much as anything. Maybe if I had a "dedicated" winter bike? But I'm hoping to keep bonnie for several more years.....
I'll just get the mountain bike out and ride some frozen trails....maybe my leathers will fit looser next year....

That's why I got me the DR. I don't think the Trailwings are up to too much dirt riding though.

Took my 919 out last monday in 22 degree weather. Gerbing's vest are amazing, but I thought I was gonna lose a finger by the time I got home. Is it time for Bennington yet?

Frakkin' Cold out there! I have no heated gear but I needed to get out for a ride. I did about 40 miles today on the DR, all backroads so I could keep the speed down. Well worth it!
