my sons and I wandered to ovet to the campground after BBQ but the ride over to Brattleboro was uneventfull
the stopover at the top of the hill was fun

I was near the back of the ride and I don't recall any excessive speed either. It may just be that I think anything under 110 isn't all that excessive. Seriously I have to wonder if the people who thought the ride was too fast were in the front or towards the rear. Just hang back in the back with Robin and I. We usually ride drag on the BBQ ride and we don't get crazy.

"Excessive speed" is relative. I stated that the speed, group size, unfamiliar road and a large goup of fellow riders ('cept for Ricster) that I had not ridden with before put me out of my comfort zone.

I eventually filtered to the back after we left the photo op. This year I'll make sure I'm a the back instead of up front.

I agree Gerry. The first part of that post was another one of my unsuccessful attempts at humor and I was wondering if the front group were running a little quicker than we were at the back.
Riding at the back we see a lot of interesting things. You should always ride at your own pace and stay in your own comfort zone. Doing anything else is asking for trouble. You are welcome to ride at the back with Robin and I.

I think we should take a vote who should lead it this year, It should be Mark, or Robin, or Paula, or Marde, or Wes, or Matt, or Alan, or Billy, or Brian, or Dr Lapo, or................ I will like to see someone else lead it besides me! Any Takers? Or should we vote?

There we also need Seth and about 6 Rockers to block traffic at intersections!!!

I can lead if you guys want. I'll keep the pace moderate (you fast guys better not complain), but I won't promise that I won't lead you down some sketchy roads though.
