Robin, Like the Bird.

Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

One of my riding buddies was in Boston on Sunday night at a fundraiser for cancer. He said one of the guest speakers asked the audience to take out their cell phones and hold them up if they had a friend or family member who had cancer. Even the speaker was surprised when nearly everyone's phone lit up the hall.
I lost my Dad to colon cancer and my father-in-law to esophageal cancer, both because of late detections. Having watched my Dad do the radiation and chemo, I know how fatiguing and tough it can be. I have several friends who were diagnosed early, and they endured the treatments to come out the other side in remission. What I learned from these experiences was that strength of spirit and the support of others was an essential part of their success.
Although I do not recall that we ever spoke at the two bashes which I have attended, your reputation has certainly been shared with all of us here. Please know that I am one more person who sends you best wishes for a positive recovery, and will be thinking of you at this year's event.

'Nother bump as the Bash gets closer. Thinking of you guys since a) I've been warming up the V-Strom visiting my father recovering from cancer-related surgery in NJ the last couple weekends and b) I visited a new motorcycle museum in Newburgh, NY called Motorcyclepedia that's like Barber with a few less zeroes at the end of the budget (no attached race track, for example). Great place anyway, though, with around 350 bikes - a lot of them old and in great shape and/or well restored. It's a place to visit once Robin's up to riding this way again.

Here's to clear pictures and reduced tumors. We'll raise a glass or two to you in a couple weeks.
