Any of You Riding???

We got 2 feet of snow this past snow storm. I know that's just flurries to you western NY folk but it's a LOT here. Last winter I was riding all the time. Not so this winter. Haven't been on the bike since the beginning of Dec. I'll be adding a few accessories to the Vstrom next week so that will keep me busy.

Heck Matt, we require riding in a minimum of 2 feet of snow stark naked just to get into the WNY riding group. Fortunatley a visual confirmation is not required.

We had anywhere between 24-27" on the ground in Framingham, and the drifts in our driveway were almost five feet. This is one of a few times I wish we got the 4Matic instead of the RWD and stick in the Benz. This storm really sucked.

I hear ya, Jeff. Got a whopping 35 miles on the sled last week before it got warm. UGH!

I thought you guys are in the snow belt. How much snow did you get so far?

We haven't have much to sustain riding unless you head a bit south of us. I think these guys trailer so they can find snow. We've had just enough to keep me off the roads on my bike but not enough for great sled riding.

Leaving for the Panhandle in 2 weeks; 1,100 miles each way plus touring the Big Bend. I gotta get out of this freeze. By the time I get back this will all be over...

and came back to ride w/ the NJ rats in the sub 20F NNJ/NY freeze yesterday- what a contrast in 4 days...

last year at this time we had a run of 6-70 degree days...today it is snowing like crazy sideways....ugh! Maybe next week it will thaw and the salt nuts won't be out plastering the roads.

About 700 miles on my sled so far this season...at least better than last year...snow is back and more predicted today/tomorrow but it's getting a bit late in the season...time to transition to the bikes
