Oh, that fucking figures. Montgomery County, MD, is where I grew up. My parents still live there. A bunch of these speed cameras are within a mile or two of their house. Gonna need to be really careful when I visit them.

Montgomery County is the nanny state gone mad. They once tried to ban smoking even outdoors in your own yard if there was any chance the smoke could drift into your neighbor's yard. They're out of their fucking minds.

It just seems to me like another opportunity for the disgruntled to plink the lens out from a safe distance with a 22 hollow-point & a scope. The outcome to the camera is quite similar to the skull as the hollow-point enters & mushrooms! :-)

Or better yet set up a mirror or reflector from a distance using sunlight, and blind it for a while.
