NOVA SCOTIA July 2008

Postby TonUp » Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:07 pm

Heading to Nova Scotia this coming July for 10 days, Mark is joining me and maybe more, We will tour Nova Scotia, Halifax, Sherbrooke, Sydney Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Gaspe Bay, Tadoussac, and Quebec. About 3,000 miles.

We will be camping and motels every now and then. Seafood and Great Scenery!!!

Who's been there? Any pointers?

I ate too much. Got sleepy. She was okay with it,she knows how important this deal is to me,haven't had a 'us' vacation in eons.We are all hoping that your wife will go. Paula said some good things in 'cold feet' thread. Did your wife 'trip' about the call? Sorry Tito for hijacking the thread for a minute. We had rains here (thunderstorms) flooding all over, over the existing snow , water everywhere.

Hi Jimmy!

I will be riding my V-Strom. Great little bike for big trips.

Jimmy & Speed!

Tell your wives this is a great mini vacation, plenty of things to see and do. And they get to meet all of us. Then again riding SOLO is not so bad! LOL I most likely will be alone until Saturday night. I rather ride the S3 alone.

I looked at a ElectraGlide Classic today just for rides like that. Like riding a sofa radio with CD radar detector heater for your grips and legs and heated seat shit I better stop before I go buy it.

Tito,
Check these guys out. This is from the Rat forum Rides section.

I've emailed Greg a couple of times and he's a great guy very willing to help. He is an instructor too. You'd be able to share war stories.

Horrible timing! If I hadn't already planned a ten day trip down one side of the Appalachians to the Dragon and back up the other side I'd be all over this one!

Tripping

Postby TonUp » Tue Feb 05, 2008 8:47 pm

Pete!

When is your trip? We are only taking 5 or 6 days off from work, around July 4th, It would be great for you to join us. Maybe you can do another trip with us this year, a weekend trip.

Tito -- The wife and I will be at the Bash on the 31st, stay the night in the Paradise, then I head south in the morning while she drives home.

A weekend ride would be fine, but back to back long trips would eat away at my vacation time in a big way. Still, it would be nice to take that first long ride camping with others who have done it before. 400 miles is my longest ride so far; I tend to be a day tripper
