Some kind of nightlife Itinerary might help Draw people. Any local Bands playing in the clubs around this area. What about coffee shops, any folksingers do their gigs there? We have coffee shops all over the summit city. If I knew the place I would offer some alternatives such as rock , country, folk , whatever , in the adjoining area for people to filter in or out. Unless we are going to have a keg wagon and a live band playing. Does the paradise have a bar that bands frequent? If we can set up some kind of alternative nightlife schedule as per mentioned it might set some light on attendance, in the here and now. In the summit city we have a rag called the 'Whatzup'.It shows the bands coming in and out to the various clubs around the city on a weekly basis ; Some bands book weeks in advance , others months in advance.. If we could handpick a few close clubs, show whose playing for 'anybody' to go check out we might put some kind of 'Bennington nightlife sticky' on top of the forum block for those three days that people will be there. People don't know what Bennington is about but they know what 'bands are' and I'm sure like to 'Dance&Party'. Might want to get this one figured out soon. Speed.

Nightlife in Vermont? Not sure; I've never stayed up long enough to check it out. Plenty of activity at 5am though!

This is where it gets strange the towne as far as we know doesn't know we are coming. I questioned this in the beginning and Robin said it was okay. I talked to the girl at the hotel and she had no idea what was going on so . She was very nice but I asked her how many of us had made reservations and she said it was strange to have that many motorcyclist there at one time we can always say it was for a wedding birthday party LOL. I think if the merchants had any idea we are coming they might try to draw as much outside jingle to their shops. I think a recon raid might be in order here from the closer brothers and sisters check out the surrondings and figure out the towne. You have to remember that we are going to be sharing the towne with college grads familys that Whisper made note of several weeks ago. I for one think the town is going to be overwhemled and seating and supplies are going to be pushed to the limits if as many people show up that we have know with out some heads up as far as ordering more food refreshments of all sorts. We need to get a plan together sooner then later.

I have seen three things that are causing the slow down Myrtle beach May 8th to the 15th . The Maggie valley ride that someone has started the first weekend of may and Money. People are going to pic and choice a ride that suites the old wallet. I hope to have a good showing but with bigger comes problems .

Be patient, guys. We're working on events for both Friday and Saturday night.

Friday night's looking like it'll be an outdoor meet'n'greet in the late afternoon, followed by a break for people to go to their hotel rooms and clean up, followed by dinner somewhere.

Saturday night will be the bigger event night. We're looking at dinner at the brew pub downtown, followed by drinks and music. We'll probably have two or maybe three bands, a blues band earlier and then a ska/punk band later for those who want to rock out.

All this is still in the early stages of organization though, so things may change. I'll keep everyone posted.

But my main point is, don't worry, we're thinking about things to do besides just going for rides.

mmm...there isn't a whole lot of nightlife in bennington. there are a number of restaurant/bar/pubs. not many have live music. i own the coffee shop in town. i've tried the folk music thing and it never really took off. i'm sure that i can roust up some musicians for fri nite IF i still own the place (i don't plan too own it by then). it will have to be cigars on the roof of the fort!
