Non-triumph motorcycle owners coming?????

Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

LOL - Thx Rick it was getting tense! Before we move on is there any other rules or types of people we don't want?

Let's make sure I wouldn't want to ride 150 miles North with my wife on the back while telling her all the way up how nice these fellow Triumph riders are and come into Bennington and have her witness a lynching or something like that!

She has had a pretty sheltered life and I tend not to reveal to much of my past dark-side to her so she can sleep peacefully at night without having to worry! :-)

Triumph

Postby TonUp » Tue Feb 19, 2008 9:47 pm

Does someone need a hug?

Then smarten up!

I ride two Suzuki motorcycles, and I hope I never catch anybody burning one. I respect other folks and what they ride, I might not be crazy about some bikes but I do like most of them and I want to ride all bikes regardless of origin. I am a MOTORCYCLIST!

Yes this is a TRUIMPH Gathering! But it should be ok for us to invite other riders to join us celebrate a very special event, it is this kind of thinking that helps open other's peoples minds to the idea and concept that we are all Brothers and Sisters regardless of what brand we choose to ride. Let us set an example by embracing this opportunity!

I have been know to ride 2 different bikes to an event before, I am definitely hoping on riding the Triumph on this one, let's unite not separate!

OK, I take back the jap bike comments although they do burn good.
Ya, see ......I get that from all the Harley riders I hang with :P
I believe the original post was if non Triumphs would be welcomed.
And as far as I 'm concerned all bikes would be welcomed.
Like mark said I don't think it should be an open invitation to all makes of motorcycles
but if someone has a friend or relative they would like to bring along that rides
some thing other then a triumph I would not have a problem with it.

Bill!

Well said!

I was at a BMW Rally last year and there was this one Bonehead making jokes about Asian bikes and burning them, I had ridden my new Suzuki V-Strom to the rally and was getting quite upset by his mouth, So I stood up and said "WHY DON'T WE BURN A BMW ?" it was very quiet after that. I was getting ready to toss his dumb ass into the bonfire!

Ignorance can be extremely irritating at times!

Lets have a beer soon! Cheers!

Man it kinda blew-up out of control. Correct me if I'm wrong but the original question was, "Can I bring my buddy who has a BMW to the Gathering?" Like I first said and I'll say again - the Westchester BMW pack are about as nice as any people you would ever want to meet or hang out with! I'm good with anyone who is nice! Lets lead by example and share the Love! :-)

Right on man.
It does not matter what you ride just as long as you ride.

this is no different than the Ford vrs Chevy wars of the 60s. we all "hated" the other guy and would rib him without mercy if he drove somehting other than the "right" car
I've heard that some people even have heated discussions about sport teams
no one is going to sugest that we burn anything, OK I may be off base on that one, something will be burned
I am just saying tha I would "prefer" an all Triumph get together
hell I once worked at a Suzuki shop so I am not without sin

Just for the record - I HATE the New England Patriots . . . But I have an even deeper HATRED for the Boston Red Sox! Does that make me a bad person? Do I need to re-take inventory on this? :-)

Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinions about anything. The Harley-haters expressed theirs and I expressed mine. If I make it to Bennington with the Triumph it will probably be on a trailer. That's almost a 700 mile trip and my old ass won't make it on the Bonny. I do know I can ride the Softail that far because I've done it. So let's drop the subject and ride.

Ohio if you want to ride that softail to the bash rider brother its about the ride. I will ride with ya if you make it if you decide to trailer in I will ride with ya doesn't matter. I really dont give two shits at this point as long as everyone makes it there safe and has energy to enjoy some good fun and some really cool rides. I am sure that several other brands might be with us and hell if we act like real people and not fakers then maybe they might think about inviting us to some of there rides. Its not about life its about the ride threw it.

I'm on the corner of walk and don't walk on this thing , so I invited all the girls from Showgirl III to attend :) In retro-spect , I get nothing but respect from HD riders in regards to my trumpet , in fact they are usually in awe about it. Just thought I'd throw that one in there. Doesn't matter to me I'm ready no matter who comes.........Even if it's just my wife and I. It is coming upon time to just relax.....................Speed.
