I love the idea of keeping it Triumph focused. If it comes up in conversation with someone, and they want to come, sure, but I'm not going to go around promoting it to anyone. But I also feel like being all exclusive because we don't like being left out of other groups is acting just like those other groups...

Thats right benny, there will be other venues for those guys, like, Americade and the VT rally or Bike Week at Laconia. There will be plenty of HD guys at those events for them to hang with if they are feeling so excluded.

I asked a simple question not realizing the outcrying from everyone was possible. My intention was to have some friends that I enjoy riding with along.

I missed a few days because of Toyota training requirements made me go to boston. I have read only a few responses only to be discouraged. If it wasn't for a hardley, jap bike I would not know about triumphs. If it weren't for my wife's love of riding a "bike" I wouldn't be able to come to this Triumph Bash.

As many others I started on a 1969 Harley Davidson xlch 900. It was my fathers first motorcycle after he finally got a good job and a wife. I learned to ride on a Yamaha Virago 750, Honda CB750c. The honda and harley I still have. If it wasn't for my love of riding and my good paying job I would not be able to afford a Triumph or anything else. I'm sure many of those BMW riders started on a Triumph or Norton, BSA....the list goes on. To be honest If something major happened to my sprint I would be devestated, BUT I would not buy new triumph. I am not impressed with the run of mill look on the new sprints. Would love to see the 1200 come back

Enough beer induced ranbling by an Ameri-jap-brit bike owner. Would love to add italian and german to that roster.

Come on Bro - you read my posts right? I said right from the get-go that I love BMW riders. They are a very real bunch of riders. I stand beside my original post and welcome your friends with open arms whether they come on BMW's Harley's or Big Wheels!

I read it, Just wound up right now.

I've had some shitty stuff this week. Thought I could turn to the riding brethern for some quiet laughs not a debate about what is a bike, who ruins rides and so on.

Peace hedge, any ill thoughts are being washed away, sadly waxing and waning with out a proper pint of guiness makes it tough.

I know they are, Just remember every day above freezing melts a little more snow, Cabin Fever might break soon, I'll tell DW that he can go. It was a big deal for him to come to the event. This pas december he had a skiing accident and broke his hip. He is walking but not sure he will be able to ride this season. If he did go it would the first ride since his accident.

I will welcome any one on two wheels.
I was only lashing out at the Harley bashers so I picked on the jap bikes
because I know all Harley bashers are jap bike lovers.
Me I’ve been a Triumph man my whole life I wont admit to riding
any thing else. 1971 Bonny to a 1976 Bonny to a 2001 Bonny
As long as you ride that’s all that really matters

true words bill. I'm glad I'm in a position to ride Triumphs now. Ride proud, smile big when some says that you passed them while they were out for a sunday ride, smile bigger when you remember passing them in the ton range

I think the idea is more that friends and family are welcome, but we're not going to go out of our way to invite an entire (insert brand name here) riding group to join. Sound right?

that is what the idea of riding is, friends and family. making memories to tell the kids and grandkids. (when some of us are old enough to have them)

I agree with Bucky!

Also If you ride a SPEED TRIPLE please do ride it a proper HOOLIGAN, the way the bike was built to be ridden. Wheelies, Burnouts, Donuts, Stoppies, Endos and Speeding are part of the norm on a Speed Triple, please ride it that way and smile when you are doing it.

All bikes have a purpose! Some cruise, some tour, some go fast in a straight line, some go slow, some go on dirt and street, some are just sporty, some are fast sport tourers, some are basic transportation, some are way too much fun, some are corner carvers, some like to slide, some are just for Sunday rides and some are just beautiful!

Hope we get lots of different bikes, riders and people at the BASH! I plan on riding the SPEED TRIPLE!!! :-)
