The family and I went out last night for some irish fare and drink. there was a lone guitar player sitting in the corner, I heard the begining of little red rooster. I drank the rest of my proper black and tan, order a straight guiness and listned for the rest of dinner. He was just good enough to pay wolf a great honor by not trying to imitate him. He did a goodjob playing a little blues to go with the guiness. I hope we can have that kind of music while we are enjoying some beer and cigars.

Brett I have been sitting here tonight and found another you might like. I played blues on a 3/4 stand up for several years I feel alone up here when I listen to the blues. Down home when I was a small boy all I got to listen to was the farm workers sitting on the porch playing music all night long now its like my soul after so many years of being sung to sleep by that sound. Jimmy, Here's a guiness to you brother!

I remember when I was young and going to a camp ground for the summer. The bands would always play this music that I didn't understand the worfd, but the music made my eyes close, made my heart slow down, my mind would cry in a pain that I couldn't understand. I figured out early on that you had to feel this music, you can't listen to it. It wasn't until I was older that I heard the term "blues". I pale in the blues search request of you post. I am certinaly enjoying it though.

Goddess, I have not forgot you, A Guiness to you also! i really like the mojo working.

Brett you took a swing at it and knocked it out of the park brother that is pure blues like no other. Robert Johnson sings plantation blues that is what I am talking about you can feel it if you close your eyes sip a beer and relax.

I think mine is Ike and Tina's I Smell Trouble that I posted up here a week or so ago. Years ago- like 20 years ago!- I got it on a Blues Compilation cassette, and it always just stuck with me. Tina Turner's throaty whiskey voice, the story she tells in the lyrics, Ike's soulful guitar, the way they build momentum togther.
