The Deadline is Approaching

Postby Speedblastr » Mon Apr 28, 2008 4:40 pm

Anybody as excited as I am ? I'm ready to leave this popcorn stand behind for a few. It'll be a decent time-out for awhile. A little anxious I am. Are we there yet?

No work, no wife, no kids, I can't believe it's true. This is like waiting to turn 21. I don’t think it’s ever going to come.

Hey blip, do you still have the 96 900?

Speed, I'm trying to sell my chevy so I can finish getting everything I need....like fucking gas money.......I can't wait to meet everyone and toss back some brews on friday night, saturday night, maybe even sunday but the brew will have to be non-beer, for the ride home.

What is your definition of old? Physiologically we are no longer teenagers but hey mentally its a whole nother story.

30 days
or 736 hours
or 44190 minutes
or 2651455 seconds. Already rode to Bennington once to scope out the route. 137 miles form door to center of town. Anxious, excited who me? Nah.

96 Sprint

Postby blip » Thu May 01, 2008 9:25 pm

No, I sold it back in 05 to buy my 2K. I wrecked it once and had it rebuilt. I sold it right after I spent all kinds of money upgrading the suspension and brakes. It was loud to (D&D Pipes) Boy would that bike howl!

Old farts?

Postby blip » Thu May 01, 2008 9:36 pm

I only feel old when I'm not riding! I've slowed down some, but I got hit by a mini van back in 05 and I was one big bruise for several weeks. That will bring you down a notch or two in speed. :(

The Surgeon just called me and said nothing is torn. He said I am as lucky as can be as far as damage. He is going to use scopic surgery on June 6th and just clean out the shoulder and shave a little of the bone down to open up the socket a bit.
He said i will be out of the sling in 1 day and fully healed inside of 2-3 months. Then it will be time for the right shoulder. I might wait on the right depending on my threshold for pain until the end of November when the riding season is over. Between the cortisone shot I just got in my right shoulder and the pain pills I have in inventory i will have no problems riding up to the BTB at the end of this month! You can take that to the Bank!

Mr. Speedblastr,

I see your handiwork at Triumph Net. Very nice work, loading up all the BTB with new stuff. That oughta do it!

I am eagerly looking forward to the ride up and all the British Iron laying around once there. Campers: don't forget to book your site at Woodford.
