Cool good info!! A buddy of mine has a FZ6 which I think is kinda like the Yamaha version of the same style of bike. I'm just keeping my eyes peeled for similar types of bikes if and when I ever get some extra cash We'll see...

Just be careful with the SV-650 and the FZ6, even though they seem small, they are powerful, fast and quick. A lot nastier than your Triumph.

They also have better brakes, less maintenance and are EXTREMELY ADDICTING to ride fast. If you go for the SV look for one after 2004, I am pretty sure that was the year they switched over to Fuel Injection.

Good call!! I'm a wuss when it comes to the throttle twist.... Test ridden the S3 many times and never wheelied, always take it easy on a new bike. It's a ways off anyway... But I always like hearing first hand experience from guys I know rather than just goiing by looks or bike mag reviews alone.

Pulled a beautiful 1 mile long 2nd gear Stand Up Wheelie yesterday on the way home on the Speed Triple! What a rush!

Putting in on the Dyno tomorrow morning! Hope it makes over 120hp at the rear wheel.

You should get like 123 to 125 out of it Tito. I saw a mapped off road exhaust header combo with K&N I think push 142HP at the wheel . They have a dyno at L&D Triumph in Dover where I got my Bville and I know the tech that dynos so when I go there I hang out .

I will be waiting my bonnie went 72 at the wheel after we rejetted for summer had a hard time getting the co right but after 50 damn adjustments we got it . It is raining here but I was going up to ride a tiger today and a Gixxer1000 both 07 left overs might give the bonne to the daughter one never knows .

Jimmy, I'd be interested in what you think of the Tiger. Love the Rocket but for an all around bike that Tiger has a lot going for it. The Triumph twins have such classic lines and terminal coolness (not to mention the sound) but the Tiger has some real functionality which is hard to overlook. Several write-ups in bike mags left me wondering how I might get one into the stable.

Tito, did you say a mile long wheelie? Geez! You must get over 15000 out of a front tire.

Dyno results are in, 117HP with TORS, MAP and BMC air filter. I was hoping for more my old 955 Speed Triple made 112hp with TORS and MAP.

I will check into it. I was really hoping for a little more power. She does have incredible amounts of torque everywhere in the power band. Off the throttle wheelies in the first 3 gears are very easy.

Tito, did you use Tuneboy to remap? I know it's pricey at 400 bucks but getting those extra ponies never comes cheap. I have the cable and software so that can save you some $$ as you'll only need the tune edit key.

I do not have Tuneboy or PCIII, Stock ECU, where did you get your Tuneboy stuff? How much for the KEY?

I just bought new tires for two bikes , and I have a Track Day coming up so money is tight.

I bought Tuneboy from Newbonneville.com which gives you the software plus hookup from your computer to the ecu. In short it allows the user to change just about anything that the ecu is programed to do. I will do some more research tomorrow from work to make sure my set-up will work with your bike but last time I checked it would. If not mistaken the price for a tune edit key was about half of the price for the whole shabang.
Basically you install the software into your computer than hook-up the cable and it reads your exclusive ecu number. After that you can purchase the "key" which comes in an email and allows the software to open up for your particular ecu processor. Here's a link to the tuneboy site which explains their product much better than I can do.
