Oh..YEAH...... I will be ready.
The bike is running great but my gas mileage sucks.
I am going to try dropping down a bit on the main jets to see if I can get a little better??

Who would think that just because you put in bigger pistons and big ass carbs,
open the air flow and port polish the intake ports.... that the gas mileage would go down???....... who would think???

Of course me riding it like a fucking maniac does not help any at all.
I did find if I ride like a normal human being (which is not easy to do) I do get better mileage.

But she sure is a real blast and a lot of fun to ride :D

I am ready and waiting.

Bill

Bill did you notice it is hard to ride a Bonneville easy. I am willing to bet you didn't ride easy before you put the toys on. I have run out of fuel twice under 70 miles something about trying to rip the throttle cables out of the carbs. I have to do something about my rev limiter it is really starting to piss me off.

Well I disabled the accelerator pumps and I dropped down to 145 mains from 147.5 mains.
She still seems to run strong with no ill effects. I will Wait and see what that does for my gas mileage.
I will eventually get her on a dyno and see just where she is at.

I have a lot of rides planed between now and the bash.
I have one into Boston to storm the state house on the 15th.
Then I have one on the 18th. with Wisperensmith and Marty to go over our plans for the ride up to Bennington.
Then I have one on the 25th. for the BIA meet.

Then Yaaaaa...Hoooooo finally off up into the mountains to Bennington for the Bash.
