On my way up yesterday, I noticed there are 3 or 4 motels just south of town on 7. You would have to ride there from wherever our evening activities are, but it's better than nothin! I'll make note of their names when I head back on Monday.

Been thinking about this...

and perhaps procrastinating a bit. I've just booked a room and look forward to meeting some new folks. I've been riding for a couple of seasons now on my Bonnie, but always solo. A little socializing along with the riding would do me some good. Looking forward to it!

On my way out of town monday, I made a note of all the other motels in the area. I can post them here if you guys want.

Also, I found the Paradise. It's literally across the road from Hemmings Motor News.

I'm a cheap bastard too. I just cancled my reservation and plan on camping. You have any idea where you plan on camping yet?

I haven't seen any mention of the Knotty Pine Motel at 130 Northside Drive (Routes 67 and 7A). I've stayed there several times, and it's a bike-friendly motel. The phone number is 802-442-2231.

Here's a link that might help: Bennington Lodging

that's because all the places listed are withing walking distance of downtown. the knotty pine is about 3 miles out in the commercial district. betsy and ed at the knotty pinenare great peeps, and they are reasonabley priced, but it's a hike in non pedestriran friendly environment.
