This is Nisha, wife of the blond dread. I wanted to tell all of you that Milo died on Sunday night. We were on the bike, and it was a total freak accident, but he put it down and it flipped and landed on his neck. He didnt suffer. We are having a memorial service on friday in Sidney New York at 2 PM. It is at the Lehey Funeral home.
Hi Nisha...we've never met, but by 56 years old (me) you get to survive too many of these notices...and each one is like a knife thru the motorcycle heart. what can one possibly say that isn't trite and awkward. The fact that you took time to post here says volumes about the connection you feel, and the words of response like-wise speaks volumes.
I've sat thru cancer and heart with miserable results and if I have any say as to my personal choice of checking out, it would be a quick "let's get it over with"...find some solace in that...my best to the survivors, and a reminder to live like someone left the gate open...cause we got just the one shot at it...make it count.
make sure you take some time for yourself to stay healthy minded when the chores are done, and as others here have implied...we celebrate the life, and survive the valleys.
find the center again. I didn't know Milo, and I don't know you...but this is for you. I don't have to know you to share the pain. After the frenzy dies down in a few weeks, take an hour a day just for you...private time...make that healing time a religion and it's not rude to shut everyone else out for that hour.
I'm sending the healing vibe...accept it in the spirit it's given.
